I see some aggressiveness here in the "Greece" section sometimes... why's that? I think that aside of any rules Y!Answers has about the behaviour of its users, we are human beings, aren't we? So, let's be nice to each other and show some good manners.

Peace!

Thank you to the ones who answered politely.
Probably for this I'll get reported but just as great John Lennon said " You may say I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us and the world will be as one."
I am not saying I'm a saint... I do agree that some questions deserve certain answers. I remember some time ago there was this person asking where he could get drugs in Greece. That question was insulting.
I say, this is a forum to get some answers and to have some fun; healthy, normal, and polite fun!
I've been a "Greece" top contributor as well and I did feel I was getting more thumbs down... but... does it really matter? was that the reason why I stopped being a top contributor? was that affecting the poster's decision on which was the best answer? I really don't think so.

Now, to the girl who said sth about sensitive tears... what makes her thinks i'm crying? what makes her think that people who seek for peace are weak? I will politely say she needs to grow up.

Ps. Funny that she answers aggressively to a question about peace. This is so ironic!

This section is sometimes used for the wrong reasons, people air their political views etc.. this is a travel section. As with many other sections, people abuse it and good manners go out of the window!

Well aggressiveness is a characteristic of our race I think. But many people use this aggressiveness wrong.

Peace, love, hospitallity, are words known in Greece from more than 2500 years.

We always be nice to everyone, ofcource there always will be some exclusions, but most Greek people love peace and aknowledge the right that everyone has to tell his/her oppinion.

Aristofanis ,a Greek writer, wrote about peace abouT 500 years B.C.

So, most Greek people, as most of other people in all countries, want and can be nice to each other.
But always there are some exclusions to this rule.

But is in our hand to displaced them from here.

Been there done that. I can not deny my human nature and a good part of it is aggression. It is one of my main weapons in my survival kit. There is nothing wrong with aggression if used properly. Whole civilisations have been built by aggression and I do not mean military aggression only but cultural religious economic etc. Intentionally stupid/loaded/subversive questions deserve nothing less. And it can all be done within the range of what you call 'good manners. After all there is a Greek saying that captures the philosophy. Και η Παναγιά ματσούκα θέλει. For the non Greek reader. Even the virgin Mary needs coercion sometimes.

In a Utopian world this would indeed be perfect. However, because "making love" produces more people human nature being what it is (re: Thomas Hobbes) we make war to reduce the overpopulation of the earth and to ...line our pockets with gold. Greed and avarice prevent utopias. Wish it were different...

I agree with my friends above.I am old user too, even if for lack of time i dont enter so often the section, but i have been informed of what is going on since i am closed to the users.
A war is declared against some old users the 3 tpo contributors, even to some friends of the section. And the war started from others, who entered recently the section playing the role of moderator...
Their worry is not the contribution to the section, not the defense against the insults, but why some others have more best answers, or a badge..Thats why they thumb them down...And they are adults, not children, it is a shame you know..
All those who are complaining, have they ever declared what they are doing behind the greek users?Have they ever talked to anyone about the emails they send to others boycotting people and saying that they are ''dangerous''?Dangerous...in a site of entertainment...
It is funny...isnt it?

I think some people are just genuinely rude... They just want to create trouble. Don't worry, everybody picks them from a crowd quite easily. And they just humiliate themselves...
