My fiancee wants the traditional Wedding March song etc, but we would like to find a different version to the typical one. I heard a piano version and guitar version once and they were both beautiful but I have no idea who played them, so can't get a hold of the CD.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I presume that you are referring to either the Richard Wagner entracte/march "Treulich geführt (from Lohengrin)" (alias Bridal Chorus), a rather popular choice for processional, or the Felix Mendelssohn program march "Procession of Orpheus (from A Midsummer Night's Dream)," a rather popular piece for recessional. I have reason to believe Dover Music has both full works; Warner Bros. Music, Hal Leonard, &c. included both in at least one wedding music collection apiece. Several vendors that cater to the Classical music market (e.g. Naxos, Angel/EMI, Deutsche Grammophon/Universal, RCA Red Seal/Sony BMG, &c.) have both excerpted for concert collections from diverse venues and orchestrations, in addition to "cast recording" score albums from the original music dramas.

I can't attest to out-of-Classical remakes of either, as I usually do not investigate experimental or avant-garde music.

Given both the numbers of suggestions from the balance of the Answerer pool and my own Messianist leanings, I would recommend a three-stage processional based on the Johann Sebastian Bach cantata "Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme" (spec. the Chorus movements), BVW 140 Nrn. 1, 4, 7; and a recessional based on the Georg-Friedrich Händel chori "Worthy is the Lamb" and Amen Fugue (from the Oratorio "Messiah"), HVW 65 Nrn. 53, 54.

A lot of CD and party supply stores have selections that contain just wedding music. I'd start there. I know that Party City has a few with some pretty renditions of traditional songs.

Hooray, one more thing to shop for before your wedding!

Well if you can talk him out of the traditional song, I'd say try and find a love song with one of your names in it, I think that could be cool.

Try "Welcome to My World" by Elvis Presley
I sang it as she came up the isle
I can guarantee that if you do this thing for her she will never forget it.
don't choke like I did and get caught in the word
Welc---Welc---welc---Welc----
I guess I should have got a new record instead of the scratched one.
