I really like a guy who I have been talking to for a least six months. via phone i chat and text. I know long distance realtionships R hard so I tried to go on dates to get him out of my mind, but then I compare the dates to him and end up losing interest very fast.
When I 1st started talking to him he was coming out of a looong relationship so we really hit it off as friends not trying to be more- but we now like each other alot. I guess I want to know based on the info I gave u should I wait to see where this can go? he's coming to my state in 4months.

if the distance is going to be closing in 4 months and you guys will be able to see each other frequently after that, then go for it as long as you two will have the opportunity in the somewhat near future to live at least in the same city. otherwise if you are going to be seeing each other sparingly for the next few years, it will not be worth it.

I suppose 4 months is a good amount of time for him to get over his previous relationship. But what happens when he goes home again?

Long distance relationships can work, over time. If you're honest with each other about what you're looking for!

Well, if no other relationship happens between now and then, take your time and meet this person and see what happens. Just don't try to make it happen. If it's meant to be, you will know it and you will feel it - trust your instincts. If there is ever any doubt, get out.

do you think you should give the relationship a go?? you know how you feel and if there is a connection you know how he feels ---- at some point someone must be prepared to move closer and that should help make any decision ---- best wishes

I wouldn't recommend that you hold yourself to a "Relationship grade standard", you need to be able to date because when you meet him you might find that he isn't quite who you thought.
