Well, long story short, my clan banned my IP from the MY forums with most information I need to create a new one. Is there a program that changes your IP so I could re-register and hopefully get back that information?

You don't need to do any of that crazy techie stuff to hide your IP address. Just use a proxy service. Make sure it is a pay one though because the free ones are terrible and will most likely leave you in worse off conditions. They sort of hide your IP but not really....the equivalent of like your favorite team making it to the playoffs because another team got disqualified. They sort of belong in the playoffs but not really.

I use one that is only like $10 a month...but you get a 7-day trial first, so it might be worth checking out for that alone. This service changes your IP, encrypts the information you send and receive, and also shows a different origin page (page you just came from). It has some cool features and it is all like one click making it super easy to use.

You can change your computer IP in many different ways.

First of all, go to start run and type cmd. Next at the prompt type ipconfig/release....then after it releases your ip address... type ipconfig/renew that should do it. It should not assign the same old IP that was banned but by all means double check it.

Also, you can try turning your router off for 30 seconds or so and wait to turn it back on. DHCP might assign you a new one. In that case, you are at luck.

Alternatively you can right click on your Internet connectiong select Internect Protocol TCP/IP and click on properties tab. Here you will be able to enter your IP number mannually.

It may seem difficult but it isn't. To find out the settings to enter here, simply go to Start/ Run again and type cmd. Next type Ipconfig/all it should give you all the settings you will need. Remember to change the last portion of your IP address to distinguish it from the banned IP number and from anyother number already assigned to your network (provided you have one.)

good luck and let me know if that helps.

Regards,

Cesar

Most catv and dsl ip's change all the time.. you can repair your internet connection and get a new ip. or do a dos command release and renew.. or turn your modem off for about 30 minutes, when it reconnects it should draw a different IP unless you have designated a fixed ip with the service provider, but you usually have to pay extra for a fixed.

I could be missing something here so lets see what others say as well.

Amazing I am the only non computer geek here and this is a simple question. Download hide IP platinum and go to a warez site and get the serial after your free 3 day trial as easy as that

2 ways, get your isp to give you a static ip adress, 2 to replace all of your network equipment. there is a third option but its a bit slow.. its called a TOR and its slower than dialup. all the fast options will cost you, but if your clan banned you (from ventrillo i assume) then you dont wanna go back (from a website or such your info was prolly deleted) if you didnt break any rules then plea your case to whatever sevice this is and if they beleve you then you will be let back in.

If you are on broadband, try turning your modem off for a full 5 minutes. Your ISP may issue you a new IP address.
