Could have been thousands. Could have been millions. Does anyone have any insight on this?

Less than 128 years (and probably not too much less than that).

When Adam and Eve left Eden, they had Abel and Cain. When Adam was 130 Years old, they had Seth.

Who really knows? It could be that they didn't start counting Adam and Eve's age until after they left Eden (after all they didn't age in Eden) so it could be they had Seth 180 years after leaving and had Abel the first year upon being forced out.

Maybe billions. Very good question. This gives me an open mind in other areas and could answer some questions for me.
I thank you again for the question.

There is a rough guesstimate. Adam probably lived around 30-40 years before God made Eve, since God had brought all the animals to Adam and Adam had named them by "watching them and naming them by how they lived." (Bible, Midrash, Oral History) So, that took a little time, then after Eve, it was almost a decade or so, I'd guess. Also, since Adam was not 1,000 years old in the Bible when he died.

Definitely not millions or even thousands.

PS you have to realize there are 2 accounts of the Creation of Man IN THE BIBLE, the P and J stories.

The first says, "and we created Man" and the 2nd says, "and we created them Male and Female." So, it may sound like one, but they are chapters apart, and written by two different women.

It was probably not more than a week to a month.Cain and Able followed the fall. "Adam lay with his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain". It's an educated guess, but chances are that it wouldn't have taken them very long to get pregnant. The Bible does not give a time frame however.

edit-
Hahahaha...there are not 2 accounts of the creation and it would not have taken that long to name the heads of each "kind" of animal group......aarrrggggghhh.:-)

newman-
I believe they had many kids in between Abel and Seth. Remember, Cain was afraid for his life after he killed Abel. Who would he have been afraid of in a span of a couple years? Seth is mentioned because that is the line of the promise.

Adam and eve might have been in the backyard for an prolonged time and walked previous that tree day by day. Why could not they eat the fruit? What become stable attempting to cover from them..... i comprehend i might have faster or later fairly if i did not comprehend what the effect become.

There is no answer for this question, but we can surmise a bit. Adam and Eve were to replenish the earth. They had no offspring prior to the fall. That most likely indicates that the fall happened rather sooner than later.

Three days for Adam, two for Eve.

Adam was created to garden the trees God was going to make on the third day, and Eve was created on the fourth. The original sin happened on the sixth day.

Edit: The bible says EXACTLY how long, and I shall provide a quote momentarily.

now that was a good question. I will star for that, that could be the answer to the bible and it saying it has being around for only 6000 yrs. BRAVO!! but what about before they sinned, maybe 1,000,000,000 yrs. OH but adam and eve only lived for 800 yrs or more, but maybe they started counting when they started to die. Who knows....

The Book Of Urantia says that it was a little more than 100 years that they were on Earth when this happened. Page 839

This is an allegory. The time is not important, the story of Adam and Eve is being reenacted day after day.
