But they don't jump down other people's throats about spending all their money on alcohol or cigarettes? Or, they tell me about my spending & eating habits when they smoke 2 cartons of cigs a week + more. Why can't people just mind their own business & leave me the hell alone? Why are people so intrusive in my life?

Because they're bored! I have the same problem with other people making remarks about what I spend MY money on. Some of it is concern, I know ... but it's still irritating ... AND aggravating!!! Instead of spiking your blood pressure through the roof over it, I'd tell them to mind their own business. I'd tell them that when they start lecturing others on their booze and cancer sticks ... AND when they stop polluting their OWN bodies ... THEN ... and ONLY then ... can they talk to you about your spending and eating habits! (You reserve the right not to take their advice, of course, but they are still welcome to try).

What does the Good Book say about ... 'casting the first stone'?!

Anyways ... good luck and God bless!!!

I agree that if they have bad habits, they shouldn't be passing judgment. I really think they want to help as fast food causes weight problems and health problems. People who are intrusive in your life, sometimes are doing it because they care. Keep hat in mind. If they didn't care...they would say nothing. If these are the same people who smoke and drink, just kindly point out their vises and let them know that you care what their habits are doing to their lives. This should make them think twice because their habits are very destructive too. Do you really want to be alone? I don't think you do, so go easy on yourself and on others. Obviously these people that spend that much on cigarettes and alcohol, aren't saving themselves. Look at yourself and ask why you spend so much as this may be a problem. Forget what they do for now and concentrate on you. If these people are friends, then they would want what's best for you and wouldn't subject you to their vices. Do you drink and smoke too? If you do.....find better friends. Even if you don't.....still make better choices of friends.

I think the next time some "know-it-all" jumps down your throat for buying junk food you should tell him or her exactly what you told us: MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS AND LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE. If this doesn't work, then repeat it everytime he /she intrudes. These people will eventually get the idea.

I knooow right?! My boyfriend was critisizing my chocolate intake the other night as he was drinking a beer and lighting a millionth cigarette of the night and I was like, excuse-me, but you can tell me what to put in my mouth when you have been cigarette free for a month! Chocolate ain't gonna kill me or give me cancer! Perhaps some people are genuinly concerned for your health but nuts to all the others! Just remember that they are trying to put you down to feel superior and if you don't want to hear their unsolicited advice, don't eat or buy junk food in their company!

It sounds like these aren't "people," they're someone who you happen to have a family relationship with. Thank them for their concern, but that you're budgeting your money just fine and are happy with your eating habits.
It seems like they're probably unhappy with their own addictive habits and want to keep you from making similar mistakes. Letting them know that you're on top of things will ease their minds and quiet their criticism.

For comments/questions appropriate to the toddler led weaning, i could in basic terms clarify it to them as they probably are not judging you, they probably have no concept what you're speaking approximately. that's basically in the near previous that mainstream drugs interior the U. Then, i could probably digital mail or call somebody in order that i could desire to vent approximately how stressful people may be. final week my fb headliner became approximately how irritated i became at strangers who sense that's their precise to tell me a thank you to advance my young ones. a minimum of it helped me finally provide up fuming on the girl on the food market who made a snide remark approximately how I hadn't lined my 6-month-previous's face with a blanket to stroll from the vehicle into the shop. It became 50-something levels, she became in lots of layers she became probably sweating and her cheeks had a layer of aquaphor on them to steer away from any chapping. Arg. apparently, i'm nonetheless irritated! :) in basic terms attempt to permit it roll off...

They are intrusive because you let them be. If you did not let them and just cut them out of your life they could not be intrusive. I would say you need to learn how to set boundaries with people. Peace
