I have a Spartan PC and The sound basically sucks...my grandson wants to be able to watch DVDs on it so I bought USB Powered Speaker System But I can't get it to work...I can hear a sound....if My ear is up to it But not the noise from the video...just nothing! Is there a trick?? something on my computer I need to turn on?? I am so confused...I plugged it all in correctly! HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!

All the volume is at max

Also It has a green thing you plug into the headphone(green) output I guess...I did that...still no sound

You might want to try to go to your master volume which is the little picture of the speaker on the bottom right of your desktop. Try putting everything to the max. and see if that'll work.

You said "USB Powered" not actually USB device itself, what you hear is probably just static not even a real sound signal.

Think of it this way: if you just bought a regular speaker set with separate AC, you had to plug both AC and a sound cable. But if that AC is plugging into USB instead of a wall plug? That is what you have.

USB based sound solution is entirely different, I have such solution for my Linux setup, such hardware is bona-fide USB device and usually have an adapter in between the size of a pen drive.
