Aside from a few freakshows, yeah, our neighbourhood is grand...our immediate neighbour mows and whippersnips our lawn, and then comes over to scab cigarettes when he's on the booze. The girl across the road is a child-star that caused controversy when she appeared on the front page of the newspaper as an 11 year old, fully decked out in make-up and inappropriate clothing. Our street has won the christmas lighting competition a couple of times. We have street parties, from time to time. Couldn't ask for a better neighbourhood.

Yeah, I love my neighborhood. My neighbors are so entertaining. There is this lady that lives a couple of house away who calls the cops about EVERYTHING. One day my other neighbor was mowing their lawn "too loudy" and so she called the cops. And she reports anyone who does fireworks on the 4th and 24th of July. Then my next door neighbor named Alf, he's really old and he will randomly come over just to talk because he gets bored, it's kinda funny. We shovel his sidewalk and driveway in the winter for him and after he will go out with a stick and get the snow out of all the cracks... don't ask me why, I really have no idea. I love my neighborhood.

No, not really. I live just outside of Detroit in a northern suburb. With the bad economy here in Michigan, there are now a lot of homes up for sale--many in foreclosure and owned by the bank. There's a house a few doors down from us that is in terrible shape with a roof that rotting, knee-high weeds, over-grown shrubs, etc. It's now a "HUD house" and no one wants it (because the housing market is flooded with many other, nicer homes to choose from) or no one can afford to buy this house. In the meantime, us neighbors have to look at this eyesore. It would be considered trespassing for us to attempt to clean up the property ourselves...though I'm seriously considering it.

Just bought and moved into our new home this last weekend. The people to the right of us are pretty nice, they say "Hi" every now and than, other than that, haven't met anyone else. People drive sometimes too fast down this street, but oh well.

Not really. It is too close to a busy street and the people on my street are pretty rude and annoying.
