I think people associate stereotypes with certain races and as a result, date people from those races whose stereotypes attract them. I know plenty of women who think all Black men are well-endowed and great in bed, and since that's particularly important to them, they date only Black men. Other women think that all Latin men are extremely romantic (and again, good in bed) or all White men are financially sound and stable, etc.

This isn't to say that other people value staying within their own race to preserve cultural traditions and avoid issues that accompany dating/marrying outside.

So I guess the short answer would be 'values.' Ask a person who they would date and you'll have some insight into their values (tradition, family, culture, sexual satisfaction).

P.S. I love women of all races and have experienced intelligent conversations, high sexual appetites and a great amount of affection from no particular race. I'm an equal-opportunity dater.

Its called making observations and trying to prevent the same incident from happening again. By the way those people you mentioned arent doing it to get a different looking baby, from the stuff you wrote, its because they're tired of how their own race acts. Face the facts, in general most of what you wrote from those races is true. I wont lie, Im a white woman and I admit that many of us do nag a lot. It is true. by the way you dont need to apologize for the length of your question. Sometimes we have to say everything at once or else someone will answer and point out something you already know. If people are too lazy to read all of it then they are in for a rude awakening when the go to college. Also its not that people think that everyone of their race is the same, but they just dont want to filter through all the idiots just to find the one good person.

I'm white and I've never dated anyone that wasn't white. I'm not racist in any way, they just don't do anything for me. I guess it's like a personal preference, and who you are attracted to, such as the type of person you go for - blue eyes, dark hair, tall, short, that sort of thing, so I wouldn't date someone if they weren't my type. I think if I met a bloke and he was another race I wouldn't immediately say no based on the fact that he wasn't white. If I liked him I wouldn't let that stop me but so far I've only ever been out with white blokes.

I dated all kinds of race and married the man i loved not because of his race but because he was my soul mate. The world is so much smaller now and with the internet people from all races and cultures have a chance to meet and get to know each other if they are open enough.

First of all, I've seen hot guys of every race. I've seen nice, sweet, awesome, funny, etc. guys of every race.

You know?

So I don't limit myself to just one race.

If you're foyne (as in fine, as in good looking), with an awesome personality, and you turn out to be hispanic, so be it. If you're foyne with an awesome personality, and you turn out to be asain, so be it. etc...

Personality matters to me way more than looks and race. That's how I connect with people. By their personality. Like I've liked a few guys who weren't the best looking, but their personality was beautiful.

Some people only date inside their race or a certain race because of their background. Like a lot of Jewish families want their children to marry another Jewish.

And with that one asiain girl who only dates black men, I guess that's just what she prefers. Nothing wrong with that.

The only problem I have with limiting yourself to who you date, is you could pass up an incredible person because they're hispanic and you only date asians kind of thing, you know?

Why NOT only one certain race?

Who one dates is purely a question of someone's personal preference and frankly, it's no one else's business. It's not a commentary on the relative worthiness of one race over another.

Tradition, religion, Geography. I would say that even in todays multicultural world about 95% of all marriages take place between couples from similar backgrounds.

i wouldn't just date someone of the same race. that shouldn't matter.. i mean, what if your ONE came in a different race.. then you would never find him. you don't know what shape size form or color your one is going to come in. that's being very judgemental and racist if someone will Only limit themselves to one race, and to me that is wrong.. we are ALL humans. why's it matter so much? but THEY are the ones that miss out.. i mean they are not doing themselves any favor in the end.. limiting their options... so they'll get it in the end.
