company even today is a military unit consisting of 3 or 4 platoons, depending on the actual military. the 3 platooned company has about 90 men. the companies hading for the beachhead of Normandy were double sized, they had the numbers of men increased due to the expected losses during disembarkment.

armor company has three of four platoons too, this time containing about 15 armors total, depending on the actual setup again 3 platoons have 4 armors each, plus the commanding section of two armors, plus some reinforcements like urban combat specialized armors, or engineering armors/dozers.

in the linear defense the infantry company is to defend about 300 meters of a open terrain.
