im a christian, and i do "know" that getting a tattoo is a sin. Like if ur a christian, jesus christ sacrifies his body for you, so u have no right to mark it that way. no way am i getting a tatoo, but ive heard of people having crosses tatoos. WAT THE HECK?!?!
i just wanna no wat u gotta say for it. tell me if u think its right wrong, watev.
p.s. i do draw on myseld a lot lol
thats not still bad is it? ive always done this thing wear a draw a ribbon going across my ankle, and on it, it says some cheesy but really awsome phrase about faith or sumthing.
plz no negative answers

Hey I'm a Christian too, but I've never heard about not marking your body. The reason he died for us was to save our SINS, not our bodies(: hehe. I really want a tattoo, but since I'm only 14, I'll have to wait 4 more years. I don't think it's wrong at all to get a tattoo, and it's definetly not bad if you draw on yourself. Marking yourself is not a sin, and I'm sure Jesus won't mind xD

You really think tattoos are such an important factor in Gods eyes? Wouldn't you think living a good life and being a good person and believing in God would be more important? I think that's ridiculous to think that getting a tattoo is a sin. I have no worries about getting into heaven with all of my tattoos (15 so far). Maybe instead of focusing on silly questions you should work on your spelling...

Frankly, I am a Christian, I have a cross tattoo to symbolize my faith, and I think that if you want to spout a lot of negative opinions, do it in the religion category. You are free to believe what you will, but I am the only one who has to answer to God for my choice.

well jesus understands his rules were made so long ago an times have changed an things arent as weird as they once were. if jesus was alive today he would probibly get a tattoo too. maybe he wouldve been a tattoo artist instead of carpentry cause even jesus cant keep up with all these mexican carpenters now, too much competition

You know...I never thought of that before....but what about getting your ears pierced or other body parts, having cosmetic surgery, dying your hair....huh? Yep, going to the tanning bed....
You know- it makes me wonder....
and if you want to draw a ribbon across your ankle....well, that might be between you and GOD.
I have been thinking about getting a tatoo and I am a believer of GOD.

Any real tattoo shop could have lots paintings to be sure on between that's no longer even humorous. they could additionally draw like mad - so your mind's eye is the bounds. Dont get a tramp stamp - all females have them. relatively get a small piece on your ankle or something

People get tats for many many reasons. Some get them to show their faith or whatever. I think that if you do something like that you need to consider that it is permanent. It sounds like to me that maybe you want a tattoo but you are worried about your faith, parents, friends etc. I dont think it is wrong to get a tattoo-I just think that they need to be thought out completely beforehand.

I feel about as Christian as anyone else, and I'm covered with tattoos, it's just my line of work. My God and I don't take issue with it. I'm a gentile.
