It was sent to you as a mercy and blessing to all creations of the Lord not just humans.
Salam = Peace
Islam = Peaceful Submission to One God or Allah as he likes us to use, notice how you can't mess with the name Allah but you can mess with the name God or Lord. Peace to you always inshAllah amen.

2:133. Or were you witnesses when death approached Ya'qûb (Jacob)? When he said unto his sons, "What will you worship after me?" They said, "We shall worship your Ilâh (God - Allâh), the Ilâh (God) of your fathers, Ibrâhim (Abraham), Ismâ'il (Ishmael), Ishâque (Isaac), One Ilâh (God), and to Him we submit (in Islâm)."

I think it's a great religion that teaches respect, tolerance, modesty, kindness, and more. It tells us that we must believe in the one true God, and that we must believe in His oneness, His Books, His angels, His messengers, predestination, and the Last Day. Muslims recite the Declaration of Faith (There is no God except God, and Muhammad is the messenger), pray 5 times a day to Allah (God), give to charity (to those unfortunate), fast during the month of Ramadan, and they must make pilgrimage to Mecca at least once if possible.

I also think Islam is misunderstood by many. For those who say the religion "disrespects women," it does not in any way do so. I and all Muslims I know, thanks be to God, do not feel in any way opressed. Women are treated justly.

Also, Islam condemns murder, suicide, and intolerance, and there is evidence to prove this.

In general, I love being Muslim and thank God for being a Muslim. I hope that God willing, I will learn more about Islam. I also wish to tolerate every single person who's here, no matter what background they come from.

Peace!

This Statement..." All the Prophets from Adam to Noah, to Abraham , to Moses ,to Jesus , to Mohammed and all in between as well as their followers were "Muslim" and they practiced "Islam". Talk about Nonsense Of the First Degree.
Islam did NOT exist until Mohammed Showed Up 700 Years after Christ left this Earthly scene.
Its all about " Wishing & Hoping" for Muslims.
Jesus Preached Nothing Remotely to what the Quran says today. The Quran is more closely tied in its writing to Zoroastrianism than anything else.

I believe the perfect example of Islam, Muhammed was a warrior before and after becoming a prophet in 610AD.

I believe the very last chapter, or sura of the Qur'an to be written, al-tawba, commands violence and war against non-Muslims. This abrogates or cancels the earlier peaceful passages.

I believe most Muslims are peaceful.

I believe those who say Islam is peaceful are only partially correct.

I believe the most authoritative biographies of Muhammed, hadith, and history show violence and peace are a part of Islam.

I'm Christian and I'm cool with Islam. They've got those 7 pillars right? I respect that Muslims pray like 5 times a day. I think they are very devout to their religion.

Anyone who equates Islam to evil and terrorism can be compared to how Hitler viewed Jews. Yes, there are Islamic terrorists, but that doesn't mean all Muslims are terrorists!

islam is to man, what (i think the name is) the world wide church of christ.

In the same way that the WWCC took legalism in the church of christ and made true children of hell of them, islam does to the natural man, appealing to his sin nature.

I say this, based on the writing of learned islamic teachers, they say, man is born islamic. Man is born a sinner, that is what the bible says, teaches affirms and says turn away from.

I have seen a lot of learned islamic teachers who say, the terrorist should not do these thing but they do not try to stop any of it? Why is that?

I have seen scholars within the islam community say that islam is a religion of peace. I lived in iraq for a year, talked to the locals either in english or russian or with a translater and learned about how they conduct business. Kidnapping women and children for sex slaves and entertainment in remote locations, killing them if they refuse to perform or become pregnant or ill.

I have been at places were we intercepted cargos of women destine for the sin cities of prostitution and other fun games for deprived me in Saudi Arabia.

I have seen the shaara police (not been stopped by them) and read of how they beat women, use fear and intimidation to inforce the laws of the koran, the hadith and other ? laws.

The koran says if you question it, if you try to test it, you are to die. The bible says, try it, test it, investigate it, see if it is true, for there are many lying spirits gone out into the world.

The koran says, kill anyone who speaks against the prophet. My bible says, test me and see if I am true, if I am the LORD your God, for there are false gods, false prophets, false teachers and false scripture.

I can go on.
some huge mistakes. Allah is the moon. abram's dad worshipped it. Abram did not. Abram did not believe in the 365 gods, one for each day, one named Lah being the moon. (the name Allah, is The God, to signify a specific god in a pantheon of gods. the symbol for islam is the cresant, why, because it is the moon. Our is a cross pointing to the work of Jesus for salvation.

Islam is designed to inforce obediance by intimidation, through murder, though whatever means it takes to make people obey.

the LORD GOD of Abraham says, I love you and I want you to know me. But you have to decide your own choice to serve me or the gods of those in whose land you dwell.

who is the real LORD, the LORD of the bible or the god of islam.

Christians who worship Jesus change drastically. People who worship allah stay the same.

The christian become an honorable decent person, the islam follower if decent stays decent, if evil stays evil.

I rest my case.

but I repeat, unless the people of this nation wake up, get off there chairs and change their ways, they will all be attending the local mosque in the not so distant future. The islamic people are not playing, you can not negociate with terrorist and they will overtake this nation.

I think religion is religion. You have fanatics everywhere. True religious people don't judge others too much. Why do people never think about that? I'm ok with Islam.

I know very little about it. But from what I do know, it is not the belief system I choose to follow. I have nothing against islam otherwise, as long as they do not hurt anyone....but I would say the same about any other religion.

Islam is a vastly misunderstood faith. It is a faith of peace, but there are some who misunderstand its teachings and use it as a basis for violence against other. Sadly, this happens with other faiths, as well.
