Hiya,
There's some research that indicates spicy food increasing metabolism by up to 50% for the first few hours after a meal.
The supposed reason is that your heart starts to beat faster to deal with the suddenly hot and spicy food, and, therefore, your body starts temporary consuming energy in greater amounts.
Mind you, I said "some research", not all - to the best of my knowledge, there's no conclusive evidence of a strong relationship between metabolism and spicy foods. It's definitely something you can try to include in your diet, but I wouldn't rely on it too much, especially not to the exclusion of such traditional metabolism-increasing methods as exercise and proper nutrition.

I say do whatever you can,, I did the hot sauce diet,,
what it does do is reduce your appetite, because eating foods full of flavor, makes you feel satisfied, you also can buy cayenne in a capsule , at the health food store. OK,,,
I need a weight loss partner, I asked earlier, and so far, no commitments, if your interested.
