My husband is aware that he has a body odor, it secretes through his sweat glands and it seems to be coming from internal and not external. The WHOLE upstairs of our house smells like him. Its a pretty foul odor and sometimes I cant stomach it. I love him with all my heart and soul but he prefers a body pouff over a washcloth and he doesnt scrub, he only wipes the soap gently over his body. How can I tell him that we need to cure the odor and he needs to wash vigorously with a washcloth and get rid of it.
What can I do, lastnight we were outside with the neighbors and I could smell him blowing in the air; so I know they could smell him. Hes the kinda guy you cant level with; he will blow up with rage and anger if I confront him and his feelings are hurt easily so whats another way to bring this to attention and a cure!!!???

The problem isn't the soap or how he scrubs. An odor like you describe is coming from deep within. Some odors are due to an identifiable illness.

It sounds like your husband's brain is also polluted with the same foul odor...I'm not joking. That's probably why he goes into rages.

I'd suggest two things for starters, maybe three. I'd be taking 4 capsules of PB-8 every day. How long? For life.

Second, I'd do a thorough colon cleanse.

The third thing would be to take olive leaf extract, just one a day.

There might be more to do...most likely there is. But this ought to produce a lot of improvement.

Yeah, his feelings are hurt when he's told he smells really bad. But if you give him a solution at the same time, maybe that will help.

If he's unwilling, and goes into a rage, it's time for you to look out for yourself.

The best to you.

The only people I know who suffer from this are over weight like 240 pounds up? so start cooking healthier meals for you both and start going out walking every night after dinner sheesh it's not rocket science is it?. If he doesnt want to eat healthy and excersize then file for divorce under the listing of ignorant and self absorbed about his body odor I'm the sure the judge will get a cackle out of it , his temperament comes from being unhappy about his weight so if he isnt willing to get fit dont stay.

There's not much you can do when a person would blow up with rage. About the only suggestion I can think of would involve you conspiring with someone he thinks is attractive (assuming you & he can talk about such things, that is - you're both still human and I'm sure you both still have eyes for beauty in the world aside from the beauty you see in each other ). What you'd do is have them, every time they're around him, stop for a moment and - as subtly as they can while being obvious enough to be noticed - have them sniff at the air, look briefly from side to side as if looking for the source of what they're smelling, and then looking at him with a silent realization playing through their eyes. If they're any good at acting whatsoever, a few bouts of this should give him the message without anyone having to say a word.

You could also start putting scented moth ball sachets in his clothing drawers and closet if that's a scent you don't mind. It's amazing how many odors even a very low level of mothball odor can mask. Scented laundry detergent may also help if you're not allergic to it. There are also various kinds of soaps that can help if you'd want to experiment with something a bit more pricey - or perhaps switch to one of those liquid "body wash" soaps instead of bar soap. It's not too easy to spread that all over yourself without also scrubbing a bit more than you would with bar soap. Say you read in a magazine or something that it's supposed to be healthier for your skin & you just thought you & he should try it out. You can probably even find advertisements or other articles online to back up this claim, I'm sure there's no shortage of promotional material out there extolling the virtues of body wash over bar soap from any given body wash manufacturer. They're best applied with those puffballs instead of washcloths, but either way, he'd have to scrub more at his skin just to get the soap to all the right places than he would with bar soap.

If either of you tend to be chemically sensitive to manufactured scents, then the body wash would probably be the best option. One thing I've found is that if you use something like Selsun Blue or Head & Shoulders (anything with selenium sulfide) as a body wash even just 2 or 3 times a week, it not only keeps odors down, but it also reduces the appearance of certain skin spots and certain types of itchy rashes. If you could get him to try that out for a time, it would take care of the body odor even if he doesn't scrub very hard. The selenium sulfide clings to the skin in a very thin layer even after rinsing, and continues to do its thing throughout the day.

Either way, good luck! It's not a pleasant thing to have to bring up with someone you care about like that. :-\

MY SUGGESTION WOULD BE THIS;
THERE ARE PEOPLE IN THE WORLD THAT TAKE OFFENCE TO EVERYTHING AND BLOW UP. THOSE ARE THE PEOPLE THAT ALSO DONT LISTEN WHEN YOU SUGAR COAT THINGS. I THINK IT WOULD BE BETTER TO SAY, HONEY, I LOVE YOU AND THAT IS WHY I AM TELLING YOU THAT THE BODY ODOR IS VERY OFFENSIVE TO MYSELF AND MAYBE OTHERS. KEEP IN MIND, THIS WILL NOT MAKE HIM FEEL GOOD SO PRESENT HIM WITH SOME SOLUTIONS AFTER YOU SAY IT LIKE,
MAYBE WE CAN TRY A DIFFERENT SOAP AND SEE IF THAT HELPS. I JUST DONT WANT YOU TO BE ASHAMED IF SOMEBODY SAYS SOMETHING SO I WANTED TO TELL YOU.

THEN KEEP IN MIND OF WHAT COULD BE CAUSING IT: MAYBE IT SOMETHING IN HIS DIET. YOU CAN TRY AN ANTIBACTIERAL SOAP IN THE SHOWER OR EVEN THE BOSY WASH FOR MEN-IT SMELLS GREAT. THEN I WOULD TELL HIM HOW GREAT HE SMELLS AFTER HE GETS OUT. THAT WAY HE WILL FEEL GOOD ABOUT IT.

Body odor can also be a sign of an illness. Try putting honey in his food. It works.

Maybe he has a condition ? There's a disease called trimethylaminuria I guess , causes people to smell like "rotten fish" , in that case he needs to control his diet . Check out this link :
