I never thought about it, but she said why can't creationists and evolutionists both be right? maybe He is actually a giant organism something like an amoeba. Doesn't that sound as valid as any other belief structure being proposed these days? I thought it was kinda cool.....any comments?

Funny and plausible. I thought about the same thing. I was thinking like if God created animals (monkeys for example) and they evolved then both theories are correct. I didn't make it to the amoeba but I should have (LOL)

Evolution does not, nor has ever tried, to say one thing or another about "God". You can still both accept evolution and believe in God, just as you can accept gravitational theory and believe in God. Many already do so.

If you want to believe there is a creator who is ultimately behind everything, and is an amoeba, or a guy with a long white beard, or an indescribably presence, or a Flying Spaghetti Monster, fine. You just can't say that this entity created all the organisms fully-formed and at the same time though pure magic (or from thin air or dirt), because that's not what we see when we examine things.

I can think of many stories that could come from your idea of an amoeba god. Or maybe looking like the Martians from Mars Attacks. What great ideas!

An all-powerful, all-knowing amoeba, that exists independently from space and time? But, no, even this cannot be possible. You see, Genesis says that man was created in God's image, so if god were a giant amoeba, we'd all look like the blob.

Come now, there is not any risk of that ever happening. God is comprehensive chatting with us. the two that or no person values what he has to assert sufficient to place in writing it down. And why, if guy is to not carry themselves in intense esteem, why then do the authors of the biblical text fabric sign their call in God's e book? So it is not suitable, faster or later human beings will start to comprehend that its not God's voice of their heads, its purely themselves following what they have been instructed and agreed with. not something new is being stated. that's undesirable information for those protecting faith whilst their argument will in no way demonstrate something new, the place via fact the form vulnerable, loose thinking persons learn and are available across new arguments time-honored!

Amoeba is not by any means the origin of life. From what is now known, it seems that the earliest life must have been RNA-based (like some viruses), not DNA-based.

Well, your mother just gave a massive upgrade of god from an imaginative creature to an amoeba.

That logic is not much different to the church of the flying spaghetti monster. God exists beyond the physical realm, outside of it. That's why He was able to create the universe from nothing.

Well there is nothing in evolution that excludes a god. But it does disagree with the story in the Bible and every other holy text that you care to examine.
