A young boy learned grace in Sunday School, but got it wrong later at the dinner table.

"We thank you for this food unto the Father and the Son, and into the hole it goes."

Amusing Graces Before Meals

Well, Philadelphia has gotta be the king of idiot broadcasters. With the addition of Gary Mathews to an already pain stakingly painful Chris Wheeler, I could go on for hours. Sarge's keys to game seem to crack me up. Most of the time its: Score more runs than the other team, or for the pitchers not to allow as many runs as the opposing team. One of my favorite insights was the know-it-all personality of Chris Wheeler during Spring Training this year. When Harry Kalas was remarking on how beautiful the Phillies's Bright House Networks field was, Chris Wheeler repsonded with: "They've got one better over in Arizona." Truly painful coming from a guy that's never picked up a bat in his life.

When my nephew was 6 he was asked to say the pray before the family had dinner.. He did all the usual he had been taught I.E. bless the food thanks for the food etc. then he said "Oh yes, god, please make the baby in Mom's tummy a boy I think 4 sisters and no brother is enough don't you?"

Needless to say there was stiffled laughter all around the table... But alas he is still the only boy and has 5 sisters LOL

The Superman blessing. Oh and the Doxology sung to the Adaams Family song. I've also heard it sung to the Gilligan's Island song.

My Father and it was while he was recovering from a stroke. He was thanking God for the meal and the hands that prepared it all the while he was grabbing the bowls of food filling his plate and he started eating before AMEN.

It was when my daughter (child) was asked to say it and she started out praying and thanking God for the food and then started naming everything on the table and said thank you for the red stuff in the middle of the table (cranberry sauce) and then we all opened our eyes to see she had her face covered with her hands and two fingers separated to look at everything =)
