no, i don't participate in pagan holidays. Halloween is of this world and not of God.

1. As long as they don't get into the demonic parts like devil worshipping and things like that.
2. Most people just want the candy and don't even care about halloween. I even see grown people going for candy.
3. Before people took it to for, it was just holiday to remeber those who have passed on, to celebrate the harvest, and the fall.

I grew up in an atheist home and my parents wouldn't let me do anything for Halloween. They said it was too dangerous, but the fact was they were too cheap to pony up for the costumes and candy.
But now I go out of my way to make up for what I missed as a kid. I'm careful though that we always make fun of fearful things, and not make the kids DON'T think that their lives are in danger. I even dress up as a very scary witch, and I have a pet rat (my familiar?) and he jokes around making all kinds of jokes.
It's a really fun time of the year that I look forward to with joy!

Halloween is now a tradition among western and western influenced asian societies. It has nothing to do with religion already. Many Christian activities were taboos before when religion was still a strong influence but now many of those practices are no longer prohibited and instead even enjoyed by many and is a lucrative business in many parts of the world.

Despite what many say, "All hallows eve" began as a memorial to the martyrs that spread the original gospel. It then got mixed in with a celebration of harvest. Harvesting the fields brought out a myriad of bugs and rats. The cat and owl took care of the rats, and spiders and bats dealt with the bugs. These images became part of the celebration. Later, like Christmas and Easter, it got perverted by mixing it with pagan practices and rituals.

I do not celebrate Halloween, but I also do not stop my kids from dressing up as Darth Vader or a princess.

I use it as an excuse to break out my "Nightmare Before Christmas" DVD.

Why not? There is no harm is having fun now and again, besides, it is a Christian celebration of All Soul's Day! A day to remember those who have left our world. What is wrong with that?

I guess it depends on how you celebrate. I would have no problem with my children dressing up and collecting candy from neighbors, but I do not approve of witches, ghosts, etc that are often used in celebration of halloween

Few can resist the prospect of free candy. Wearing a costume to get it is merely a minor annoyance, though fun for children.

I really don't see the harm, I love to see the kids dressed up and coming to the door they are all so excited and overloaded on sugar. I usually dress up and answer the door the kids get a kick out of it.

btw Daniel T I am a Christian and I believe I am a lot of fun!!!

All Hallowed e'en----sure. There is no reason we have to go overboard on the gruesome stuff though. A little bit of making fun of death is quite appropriate though I think because we laugh at death---it cannot touch us as we are alive with Jesus. Bye Death----See Ya----It's been swell---
