By the way people you are all acting WAY defensive. I am a Christian too you hypocrites. Also I did ask why atheists attack Christians in my previous question. So far nobody had the guts to respond.

I think most of them are defending themselves
personally I don't bother with bait that causes strife,
but if I see a sincere question and have an answer that would help, then I participate
I love the Atheists, the Pagans and people of all religions, and would do them no harm- as a matter of fact, I agree with a lot of Atheist beliefs as far as "religion" and pagan celbrations etc: go
but I know there is a God and He loves me and I love Him with all my heart, and His people

Stephen,
I am a Christian also but I attempt to refrain from attacking others at all times. When I do so it is generally because of my blood sugar problems.
Thank you for the comment. I also feel that many are nasty to one another particularly the Christians to others who do not believe as they do. I can not understand how that will allow them to achieve what Christ sent out HIS Disciples to do in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). We can not teach those who we have driven away from GOD'S HOLY WORD, Can WE?? Have a wonderful evening.
Thanks,
Eds
Schneb,
Lets think about this... The Non-Christian has everything to lose if we drive them away from our FATHERS WORD and we are not to do so. We are supposed to be forgiving of others no matter what. We are told to turn the other cheek. Please do NOT blame others when we could end it right here and now. I learned very early that it takes two to fight.
Thank YOU...
.

So a guy with a skull for an Avatar claims to be christian and doesn't want to call this a battle?
The only reason you're forgiven is you're a newbie. Actually, I treat this just like any good soldier. Once the enemy is no longer a combatant, they won't be treated as such.
You need to go read Tough Love by Dr. James Dobson.
I swing a mean two edged sword because I confront the enemy and I know who they are. I do not argue, I swing the sword. And it would make me feel better if there were any respect for God's word. Have you ever read about Elijah and the prophets of Baal? Go ahead, give me a Biblical example of soft shoeing when confronting wrongdoing. Moses said to Pharoah, Thus saith the Lord, LET MY PEOPLE GO.
In His Service,
John the Baptist

If someone were to grab your child and drag that child across the street, would you love that person until your child was safe?
How many children are being dragged around by the influence of others here? By that I mean both young and old who are new in their faith. Is it better to leave these to their own defense?
Another question, do you really know what being Christ-like is? Yes. God has shunned unrighteousness since man's fall from His grace. There is no quarter for evil in the church.

Not everyone professing Christianity is actually a Christian. Jesus said "By their fruits YOU will recognize them"(Matthew 7:15-20) That said I also understand that we are all imperfect and may not react appropiately at times to persons who malign us or our God.

I hate to say it but here it is:
To us non-christians; the more fundamentalist you are the more un-Christ-like you are. here is a real example from my church. We had a group discussion on gays at church. The most "out there, in your face" christian couple (fish on the bumper types) explained to a very nice elderly couple that their son died of AIDS because God was punishing him for being gay and if only they had tried harder to convert him, he would be alive. Now that, is not very "christ-like" in my books and neither is Jerry Falwell, Jimmy Baker, Jimmy Swaggart, Pat Robertson and the rest of the fundie crowd.

Personally I find such a statement to be slanderous and biased.
You may be a Christian and you may not.
I have been delighted to hear the response of many brothers and sisters on this forum who have a real grasp of the true nature of things and are doing what they can to turn men away from the perversity of their own hearts and find the liberty and power that comes through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

It's indeed ironic how little some Christians ignore & abandon Christs' teaching over the most trivial matters.

maybe we are just as adamant about our belief as you are about your non belief. when i answer an atheist i do it in love.I don't condemn anyone to hell, i try to let them know that with GOD there is hope. But the atheist are very disrespectful ,mockingly so. If they don't agree just say so ,they don't have to mock.
