I just got the Sony Cybershot DSC-W80 and I'm happy with it, except the shutter time is really slow...like 2 seconds. I don't understand why, because it's supposed to have such great speed. How do I adjust this?

Make sure you don't have it set for a timed exposure, or self-timer. Check to see your battery's okay. Try to take a picture in normal lighting conditions and see if it works okay. If it's just doing that with dim or high-contrast lighting, the light might be the problem.

About the only way you could have your shutter running on 2 seconds would be if you have it set on the 2 sec. timer mode. This will show up as shadows in your pics. due to camera motion if the shutter was really open for two seconds, so I doubt that is the case.

set the ISO to the highest. then try to press the photo button, and see if the picture is taken direstly after the press, but you know what, the 2 second thing is very common is all cameras, probably because they need to adjust with any movements around.
