he might he is in 7th in the points right now and there is 4 more COT races left in the season and his best finish in the COT car was 7 which wast last week but one a good note he is racing on a track he won on last year but if he stays on track and does not get in trouble on the track he will win it might come down to the wire but every one still haves a shot so yes he might win the cup I HOPE HE DOES

As much as Kenseth is having a great season, I don't want to call it... We still have California and Richmond coming up, and with the current points, it's close between the number one and two spot. He's still seven points behind Jimmie Johnson, so those two can run neck and neck for the rest of the season. Kenseth is also 314 points ahead of third place Kevin Harvick right now. I'd say it's still anyone's game. Regardless though Kenseth and Johnson are officially at war.

As an avid #17 freak I can ,to only my dismay say no. I don't know why he's having such a hard time with his car. Hendrick & childress racing have obviously did more to perfect the cot. Roush racing is behing in the developement dept. Once the get more dialed in. look out. Mabey next year. Look out for Danny Hamlin though. Wisconsin boy for Matt Go 17. I hope this helped a little

Though I like Rouse racing I look for Kenseth to have a top 4 or 5 this year.
The Chevy has something in the COT that FORD and Dodge has not caught up yet.

ok so why cant people other than matt kenseth people reply? I am a Kasey Kahne fan but Matt Kenseth is onw heck of a driver and I have consistently had him on my fantasy teams. I wouldn't mind at all seeing Matt win. But my response apparently won't count because I am a Kahne fan.

Of course when you only allow Kenseth fans to answer this question, the answer is going to be a resounding "YES". That what you call a loaded question, and does not truly give the opinion of NASCAR fans in general.

Haha. I love your question. I'm not a Kenseth fan, and I'm not trying to be mean at all, I just thought it was funny that you asked "Who hopes Kenseth will win th Nextel Cup" and follow that with "Only Kenseth fans reply."
Not too sure how many Kenseth fans are going to reply saying they hope he doesn't win;-)
Again, not being mean at all, just found it amusing.

That would be cool if Matt Kenseth wins a 2nd title he has the skill, and the equipment to accomplish that very thing.

I like Matt Kenseth a lot, but he is not my favorite driver, so if Jeff Burton or someone from RCR doesn't win then i would hope Matt wins the championship!!!
