Do you get the hd true audio from the xbox 360 dvd player?

I have the component cables run to my tv and then audio cables run from tv to my receiver for a tv output. Do i get the same sound as i do with my original dvd player that has audio cables going straight from player to recvr? Does my samsung lcd receive the 5.1 surrond sound ?

It all depends
Since you are using component cables for video, if you use RCA cables for audio, then you get 2-ch stereo.
If you use an optical or coax from the xbox s/pdif out to an AV receiver, then you can get all 5.1 channels.
