I would go for a shortish flight, for a one week trip no more than 6 hours flight and no more than 3 hours difference in timezone.
$10 000 is what I would use for a one month trip, so I would not be careful with money.
I would still not spend all of it on the one week, all that is left over will be used on the next trip.
I think I would go for a trip to the South of Spain, or something like that.
