This is a great idea! I am a Sikh, and I think we are often misrepresented. People think we are Arabic or Muslim, which leads to them thinking that we are terrorists. People who know who Sikhs are also have a bad image because of how movies portray us or because of sardar jokes. Someone asked my cousin what the difference is between a Muslim's turban and a Sikh's turban. The answer is, there is an obvious difference if you know anything about the two groups. There is a big misunderstanding about this whole thing, and if there is currently a movie or documentary on this, then that is great, but if not, I think we should get together a bunch of people to do this thing!

Yes I agree there should be a movie clarifying the difference between a Sikh and an Arab. Of course, not all Arabs are terrorists. The problem is that Sikhs just look like terrorists thanks to other more popular movies.

Sikhs wear turbans and turbans are associated with the Middle East thus, many people will associate Sikhs with terrorists. A movie about Sikh life is unnecessary.Something as simple as website could help clarify the differences and help you outline important information as compared to a boring documentary.

There was actually a film that came out a few years ago on this very topic. It was called Mistaken Identity and it covered many important issues. I believe that there were attempts to have it shown on PBS, but I don't remember how they turned out.

But yes, any kind of method to educate people about the Sikh faith should be used. I believe that all Sikhs should do their own part to educate on the small scale, and I try my best to do so. But any kind of large scale method would be extremely helpful.
