Is this the line of thinking?

If everything has been set on a path that has no variables that can influence the outcome, why pray? If you do, or if you don't, God already knows, and your prayer or lack thereof, has already been accounted for.

Do you think praying for you or your spouse to get a promotion at work really weighs heavily on God's mind? Thousands of children die each day of starvation, many of them praying to God. Is the promotion more important than the child? If God does not care about the youngster, why would you or your trival "problem" matter in the least to him?

I am just trying to point out that not only is prayer a clinically delusional and perhaps schizophrenic behavior, but also that it serves no purpose, no matter which side of the coin you look at it.

Have fun talking to yourselves.

P.S. - Please feel free to call me names and judge me, creating a situation in which you "sin". LoL.

Before believing in prayer you need to first believe in God and know what's on His mind.

We cannot know God except from what He has revealed about Himself.

Thousands of children dying? What about His own Son (Jesus) dying a humiliating death? What was the cause?Have you thought about that? If not, why bother about people dying? God has the power to give life even to the dead but does not have the power to change people's minds about Him.

That's most important to Him.

Won't call you names nor cast judgement.

Prayer is a very individual thing. God lives and loves all of His children. We have the ability to choose how we live, hopefully we choose to help make good things happen to us and others. Unfortunately, people can exercise that same free will to choose to do bad things like create wars, unequal distribution of goods, and laws that favor some people over others that cause suffering and death.

If I am honest in my praying, I will ask for His guidance in choosing actions that will benefit me and those I love. I will also accept the times when He says no to my requests.

May God bless you, even if you don't recognize or acknowledge it.

Spoken like someone who has never had a testimony
(been a witness to God's power over and over again)
Never had a prayer answered
Never had a relationship with God
Never witnesses the miracle of God saving your loved one's very life, never saw God do a miracle for your children.
I feel really very sorry for you. And, I am not judging you.
But your pride is so big right now that it will take a catastrophe most likely to crack it since you wont give it up willingly. That makes me most sad for you.

god doesn't have a mind he is not human

i personally don't believe that praying helps any thing i believe that we all have the power to control are own life and no one not even "god" can interfere. I was once Christan and followed blindly like the rest of them and then i realized that I'm "god" I'm in control and i do have the power to do what ever i want its just deciding what i want that's the hard part so you can tell them what ever you want and believe me they will never listen to you most Christan's are very closed minded and judgmental its sad and i fell very sorry for them in the ignorant little minds

It seems that you think that prayer is BEGGING, Well it isn`t.. He already knows our needs. We don`t have to ask.

He supplies all my needs. I am blessed in the fields, blessed in the city, blessed going out and blessed coming in..

But, You are right ya know. Cause ya see, IF you don`t believe, you are right. He doesn`t exist for, YOU.. He doesn`t even see YOU..He acts according to OUR faith. If YOU have no faith, You get no actions.. So in all reality, FOR YOU, He doesn`t exist. I am sorry..

Peace & God bless from Lonestar Prayer Warrior. <><

I don't judge you. I'm no better than anyone. But if prayer is delusional, then why did God institute it?
