Give them some time first to let them cool off about it and then either call or send an email saying that you apologize that you want to know her side or whatever... If she/he doens't accept then just let it go, i know it's hard but apologizing is enough

I would say, "If you say so" and move on. I wouldn't waste any more time with the relationship (if you can call it that). If someone feels that way, even after you have tried to understand where they are coming from, believe me, if the relationship were to continue, this wouldn't be the only problem. They are probably someone who can't be close to others. Or something like that.

If that is their final statement, it would be difficult to try to find common ground to come together. There will always be people and attitudes that won't gel with yours so you won't get the chance to find out where they are coming from. It's best to step aside and realize that not everyone believes as you or wants to know you or your ideas or ideals. It's best to move away from them and give them their space. It's okay to do so and often times best to avoid further conflict.

I would take it to mean that that person is just using the offence(if there WAS an offence,...maybe they created one as an excuse to not see u again, because they'd already made up their minds earler than that, that u were not for them!)
Say "if you're going to be a game playing cold & superficial person,, then it's MY choice,...BYE!"!

I would avoid that person. That's not the kind of person you want to try and be friends with anyways. They obviously don't know how to discuss problems and they're obviously not the kind of person who can "agree to disagree" with a friend. Forget about them.

well, what are they doing saying that! it sounds like you would have a really shallow relationship if you're just focusing on that anyway.

They don't want you to understand them. Leave them.
