The truth is that such "profound quotes" are the wishful, unwarranted imaginations of men who are opposed to Christ, and are believed by ignorant masses who intuitively know that Jesus is a threat to their lifestyles, and thus like the authors listed, disregard the warranted conclusions of sound research and believe such fiction (on steroids!) as the Da Vince code: http://peacebyjesus.witnesstoday.org/thedavincicode.html.
As the evidence shows, the doctrine of the Divine sonship of Christ is not in any way contrived, but clearly derived from the Bible (http://peacebyjesus.witnesstoday.org/DEITYofCHRIST.html),
the Divine inspiration of which is not due to ecclesiastical decree, any more than being on the N.Y. Times best seller list is what makes a book a best seller, but because it's Heavenly origin is easily recognized by those who love and know the truth.
I suggest you humbly seek the Lord and read it. You can also do some research on this issue at sites like

What profound quotes? Who can proved it? It's purely a Devils lie trying to let people be with him in the Hell of Fire;
Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever
Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
If you are at Apostles Paul's shoes, can you write such? i mean do you have the ability to make such kind of writing? Without any divine help?
Just common sense alone, no one can just say it is just invention of Apostle Paul. Be sensible! To those who believes it's just a work of imagination, what kind of imagination does Apostle Paul has then?

#1 The Muslims burned the Library at Alexandria.
#2 Mithra isn't even close to what Jesus was.
#3 Paul was such an orthodox jew,he would never steer away from it if it wasn't for his encounter with the resurrected Christ on the road to Damascus.
#4 The horrors he suffered at the hands of the Pagans plus the fact that he always paid his own way by tent making would make it absolutely ridiculous to pursue such a faith if it wasn't true.
#5 To allow himself to go to trial at the court of Caesar knowing it would mean death, all for a false hood? Come on get real.As soon as it began to unravel when he was with Felix and Festus ,he would have paid them off(which is what they wanted) and split. But he took it all the way to death.

The first one is historically ridiculous. Christians burnt the library at Alexandria!!??? That's verifiable false. There is no "strong reason" to believe what Sarton proposes, notably without evidence.
The 2nd quote really sounds nice and controversial, the kind of stuff conspiricy theorists like. Once again notably absent is any evidence to support his claim.
The 3rd is so full of presuppositions that it can't be dealt with on its own. It really doesn't say anything beyond very questionable theology mixed with bad history.
I guess to sum up what I think of these quotes, I'd like to quote Voltaire- "A witty saying proves nothing."

I think that I have read the Bible. I have read The Case For Christ by Lee Strobel. I have read Skeptics Answered by D. James Kennedy. I have read Why I Believe by D. James Kennedy. I think that I know better and those quotes don't shake me in the least. I think that since the founding of the church there have been those who tried to prove Christianity wrong. Christ has been attacked throughout the centuries only for the church to become stronger for it. The more Christianity's opponents try to eliminate it the more it grows so. I think Jesus had something there when He said..." The gates of hell would not prevail against His church".

Obviously, those people never read their Bible.
Answer to Argument #1: Paul said himself in Galatians 1:11-12, "The gospel I preach is not something that man made up. I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ". In 1 Corinthians 15:3-5 he says, "For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Crist died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve."
Answer Argument #2: Luke 1:30-32 (emphasis mine) - 'But the angel said to her," Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the SON OF THE MOST HIGH..." Then later, in chapter 3 verse 22, when Jesus was being baptized, 'and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice called from heaven: "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased." There are MANY more examples all throughout Scripture, but it doesn't get much plainer than that!
Answer Argument #3: Although it's true that Paul never physically met Jesus, he did meet Him on the way to Damascus. Acts 9:3-5 says, 'As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?" "Who are you, Lord?" Saul asked. "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," he replied.' In answer to both the son-ship and the Trinity not being teachings of Jesus, look at John 10:30 - "I [Jesus] and the Father are one." Later, in verse 37, He specifically called the Father 'MY Father.' (again, emphasis mine) Proof that He gave His life as a sacrifice is found in Mark 10:45 - "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to GIVE his life as a ransom for many." (emphasis mine)
One thing that I absolutely LOVE about our Savior is that, no matter what questions you throw at Him, there is ALWAYS an answer, if you're just willing to look for it and admit that He's right! :)
God bless you!

Honestly....I truely beleived in a few other quotes......you will be shown the truth if you ask. The truth will set you free.
I not now and not for decades ever followed the "teachings" of a church. If it's wrong...it's wrong. It doesn't "depend on this or that"...if it's true it's true. There are no exemptions or exceptions.
I don't have the answer....but I know who does. I'm one who is more than happy to do the best I can and leave the judgement to him. I'm sure there will be a few fiesty conversations when we meet.

pro·found (prə-found', prō-)
adj., -er, -est.
Situated at, extending to, or coming from a great depth; deep.
Coming as if from the depths of one's being: profound contempt.
Thoroughgoing; far-reaching: profound social changes.
Penetrating beyond what is superficial or obvious: a profound insight.
Unqualified; absolute: a profound silence.
I don't see anything profound in what you posted or quoted.
This sort of trash has been floating about for years, and it is still trash. Just because you put lipstick on a pig, doesn't mean it's not a pig... just because you find trash in an obscure psuedointelectual book does not mean it's not trash.
