Yes
Just calculate the effort made to deliver your pizza.
Do you live far from the pizza place ?
If in an apartment , do you live higher than the 2nd floor ?
Is your address visible from the street , especially at night ?
Does your doorbell work ?
Did you leave a porch light on to make it easier for the driver ?
Do you live in the rough part of town ?
Do you have your money ready ?
Is the weather bad ?
JUST SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT ......
The next time you tip a driver .
If you live a block away and you're too lazy to pickup a Pizza , at least give the guy $2.
If you live 5 miles away or more $2 is pretty insulting , in fact it feels like breaking even to a driver, especially with gas prices so high.
If you order alot of food for a BIG party and the bill comes out to over $100 , give the guy no less than $10 and if you can afford more please give , especially if he has to make several trips to his car.
Remember time is money to a driver too , so if it takes 45 minutes to an hour round trip during rush hour to deliver a pizza to your house , just think how many deliveries could've been made locally during the same time.
what happens when you don't tip ..........
You're # 2 literally , no one takes interest in delivering your food and you're usually the last guy to get his food .

Yeah, because a good many of these people are making minimum wage or less, and using their own car.
If the pizza is delivered hot and when it was supposed to (if the shop says 45 minutes, it had better not take longer than 50 minutes without my getting a call from them!) then give 'em 15%, if it's quicker, give a little more. If you get less than stellar service, give em 10%.

Ideally, you are supposed to tip them. They don't get paid much otherwise. How much depends on how much you ordered, how much you feel comfortable giving and how often you order from that pizza place. I usually tip $5. Or if my order is $15.75, I give a $20 and tell them to keep the change.
There is a smarta$$ delivery guy that will not ring my bell and won't even get out of his car. He calls me from his car and expects me to go out to his car to get my pizza....he gets no tip.
Hope this helps....

i usually do between 15-20% - rounding up. if it's bad weather i tip more. just think of it this way -- they don't charge you more for delivery versus pick up so..... how much is not having to pick it up yourself worth :)
