Well if you are still searching after the "religion hopping" maybe instead of looking into your heart which you don't want to do maybe just pray and see where God would have you to be.

Let's see if I do this again, my computer froze as I was ending this before.
I would suggest checking out an Independent Fundamental Baptist church. A IFB church will encourage you like no other church I've been to to read and study your Bible, and to look for your own answers, with the guidance of those that are grounded, of course. Several of the IFB churches I've been to the pastor would have a new members bible study that visitors can attend also.
I've been to mormon, jehovah witness, lurtheran, methodist, non-deminational(spelled wrong), several others before I found and settled on independent fundamental baptist.
Jesus said that only he was the way into heaven, if he wasn't why did he have to die on the cross, if he didn't have to die on the cross, then why did he waste his time on earth for 33 years? All the other ways that the world says you can get into heaven, which one of those is right? All? None?
One thing is for certain you will have to make a decision soon before it is too late.
Let me tell you the basics. Just e-mail me back, I'll give you some simple guidance that you can take or leave, and if you tell me the general area where you live I can help you further. It is up to you, I'll pray for you for guidance and that you have peace with your decision. You should know in your heart and in your head that you made the right decision. It is my personal opinion that you have not had both at the same time.

It would seem that these prior religions left you still seeking for something. What was it that you where and still are looking for?
You need to answer that question first. What are you looking for?
I am a Christian and I would not suggest that you join ANY denomination that is out there.

Understand, I say this because when you join a denomination you are agreeing with the “doctrines / dogma’s. Many times some of these dogmas do not go with scriptures. Also, most denominations and even your so-called non-denominations are all about money and numbers, which to them equate to power.

I would however suggest that you pick up a KJV Bible and read the first four books of the New Testament a few times. I am sure that you will find the answer that you need there.

I believe that it is not a religion nor denomination that you need to join. It is God calling you to His Son.

Peace and Grace
David

Well, I hate to say it but the answer really is look into your heart. I mean, religion is all about what beliefs fit you, what you truly think is real. That's why they're all so different. So, that being said, just do more research. Really, really learn about the religions you're going back and forth between - the more you learn about them the more you can agree or disagree. Then choose the one that best fits what you believe in.

And also, sometimes you can incorporate alot of different religions into your religious beliefs. No one says (well I'm sure plenty of people do...but you shouldn't have to) that you have to pick just one religion. Pick what YOU believe in and if it happens to be the same as a religion that's out there, then good.

You are trying to go against your deeply held beliefs, very difficult to do, my friend. I have many difficulties with some teachings of my religion but they can still be a force for good and I will die defending my faith, right or wrong.
You come from a beautiful religion that gives comfort to many, has always done so, and has that capacity in the present.
Is there no one you can trust to help you in your time of need in your faith?
If not, there are classes you can take at community college and community level.
God bless you in your quest. I hope this helps in some small way as you travel this most difficult journey.

Salaam aleikum in Y'shuallah al-Masiih, Woad!

You are blessed that you are called to keep looking for God and not become an atheist. The Koran in no fundamental way contradicts the Catholic Church's interpretations of the Hebrew and the Christian Testaments. Only two points seem to contradict: whether Y'sua (Jesus) is Son, too, or Word and Messiah instead. Koran and the Gospel of John say yes to the latter two! The Angel Gabriel in Matthew's Gospel says only that Y'sua shall be "called the son of God". It is not necessary to believe that He is the Son of Allah, but the Koran hints that Y'sua is VERY INCARNATE ALLAH HIMSELF! Hence, I call Him Y'suallah (in Philastinian Arabic) and Y'shuallah (In Hebrew).

The second point of seeming disagreement is the Catholic Teaching of the Tri-Une nature of Allah. This does NOT mean there are 3 G-ds. Anciently, we use the term "persons" which in Latin only means "masks" and did not at that time imply distinct, separate beings, as it does nowadays. A better word we at the Assoc for World Peace and Justice use is: "dimensions". Allah is Unitary, but has three spatial dimensions. Indeed, it is impossible for any phenomenon to exist without having three spatial dimensions: height, breadth and width, which, in Brahmallahu, are infinite, and in Y'shuallah haMashiach, Allah Incarnate, are quite specific. In addition, all living beings have 3 "personal" dimensions: soul, body and spirit. In Allah, these personal dimensions are called: Brahmallahu the Speaker, Yshuallah haMashiach, the Incarnate Word, and Shaktallahu, the Ruach haKodesh, the Great and Holy Spirit. But the dimensions, though 3, are ONE UNITARY BEING.

Koran says that not only must one believe Y'shua (Issa, in Koran) is the Mashaich, but one must do concrete acts of Charity, to be saved. This is the Catholic and Jewish teaching, too, and Protestants, too, believe this in practice. They call it stepping out in faith.

Finally, at the end of Sura 5 ":The Table", Koran says everyone will partake of the "miraculous food of the miraculous table or they will suffer a dire fate which shall not be suffered by any other creature". This Miraculous Food is the Most Holy Eucharist, the bread changed to the incarnate vegetal Body of Y'shuallah, and, for a coming Islamic-Catholic Rite, (Revelation 5:5-6), the mustum (not wine) where mustum is aged grape juice stopped short of its fermentation, and which mustum is changed into the vegetal Blood of Y'suallah haMashiach.

By the way, Catholic is a Greek word for Universal, and the Church already has 27 distinct Rites, and hundreds of distinct Orders, which embrace the cultural, racial, linguistic, spiritual, individual and national diversity of humanity, within the Unity of Faith and Love, which is the gift of the Holy Spirit of Allah.

Dear Woad, I hope this helps, and feel free to contact me at thomaskunajacob80@awpj.org

The truth is, Christianity isn't a religion. Christianity is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, and God, the Father. God wants this kind of relationship with us. Jesus Christ was sent to this earth by His Father to die on the cross to save us from our sins. All God asks of us is to obey His gospel, in which it can be found in the New Testament (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) of the Holy Bible.

Hey I'm a Muslim.

Don't worry about your "reputation." The only advice I can give you is study all of the religions you're interested in. No one can force you to come to a religion and no one can force you what to believe. If you have any questions on Islam feel free to ask me or listen to these scholars on youtube.com: Dr Zakir Naik, Ahmed Deedat, Dr. Bilal Phillips, Khalid Yasin, and Yusuf Estes.

I hope my answer helps.

Thank you for your time.

You need to search for that yourself as this is more of a personal thing. What I don't understand is you say "a part of me still wants to be muslim..."?

May you find the path which is right for you.

Peace

PEACE WITH GOD.... is what you need....!

One thing... I will leave you with.... The WORD... of GOD !

(Jeremiah 29:11-12-13) For I know the purposes which I am purposing for you, says Jehovah; purposes of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

(Jer 29:12) Then you shall call on Me, and you shall go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.

(Jer 29:13) And you shall seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

AND.....
