I'm a Christian, and pro-life (you might say anti-abortion, but "pro-life" is more appropriate, it covers more bases).
I find war a sickening reality, an ugly part of living in this world. I DON'T like war, but realize that sometimes it is necessary to commit violence in order to stop evil people. I'm not sure if that makes me "pro war" or not.
FYI, abortion and war ARE two separate issues. Without a doubt, the baby in the womb has committed no evil, cannot defend himself/herself, and is not a violent threat, so killing him or her is an unexcusable act of violence.
Wars generally have armed opponents facing each other, with at least one or both parties intending violence and harm to the other. There is a certain level of "fairness" involved here, but the violence is still sickening. I would much prefer diplomacy to hatred and bloodshed.
Of course, if you can get people like Saddam Hussein (yes, I know he's dead now) and Osama bin Laden to understand the vanity of violence and war, it would be nice! For some reason, they don't want to listen. Ever wonder why?

They are "pro-war" against anybody who has differening religious beliefs. How many religious wars have there been? Too many to even count. And it continues today. It seems that there is some difference in the value of an enemy soldiers life (or an innocent civilian casualty, even if it is a pregnant woman), and a fetus's life. The "reasoning" behind such a distinction would be repugnant to any intelligent, thinking person.

A better question would be are these people really “Christian’s”?
Being a “Christian” means to be a follower of the Son of God. Tell me where in the Gospels does it teach that we are to go to war against your fellow man?
Those who claim to be “Christian’s” and who support the war, abortion etc are not really followers of the Son of God. They have the “name” but reject the power.

There is a concept of a just war. It means a war that is fought to preserve the safety of the greater community. An unfortuante consequence of war is the death of the innocent, which should be minimized at all costs.
Abortion is the senselss and deliberate act of murdering an innocent child because her parents are inconvenienced by her existence. There is no excuse for it- EVER. ( there is no 'life of the mother' excuse- every effort should be made to save both- it is a complicated matter when there is a true health concern, but it really doesn't happen)
There is a huge difference between war and abortion.

Proverbs 6:16-19 (King James Version)
16These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
The shedding of innocent blood is of those things the LORD hates.

It is strange indeed.
Many christians are anti-abortion, yet they are pro-death penalty.
Similarly many liberals are pro-abortion and anti-death penalty.
I am an atheist who is pro-abortion (yes, sometimes mandatory abortion) and also pro-death penalty (retroactive abortion).
