Yes, and you will probably won't think it's as cool when it stuck on you when you get old. Eventually things do go out of style.

Heck yeah. It will stretch and fade. As a teen, most people are thinner and fill out a little as they get older. This will really affect a tattoo. My dad waited until he was 40 to get one, so it would look good for the rest of his life, and he knew exactly what he wanted. He says he's SO happy he never got a tattoo when he was younger because he would regret it now.

I would have to agree with some of the others. It really depends on two things -- where you get it and how much weight is put on in that area over time. An ankle tattoo is not going to stretch nearly as much one on the belly area.

If anybody who is between the ages of 18 and 45 gets a tattoo it will be saggy and unreadable when they are a senior citizen. Ever look at an old guy's tattoo of the Tasmanian Devil and thought, "What the Hell is that supposed to be?"

I always wonder what all of these chicks with lower back tattoos are going to look like when they're wrinkled grannies.

I got my first tattoo when I was 17...I'm 23 now. So far there hasn't been any stretching or fading...and I have gained about 30lbs since the time that I got my tattoo.

As you get older, your body changes. No matter what age you get a tattoo, it will most likely stretch at some point. You get older, your skin loses its elasticity (aka sags). Unfortunatly, it's all part of the process.

I think it depends where you get it. I have four and one I got when I was 18...ten years ago and it is perfect. The ones on my ankles are good too and so in the one on my back. The one I got at 18 is on my upper arm. If you gain a lot of weigh it will likely stretch. :)

what kind of a question is that? Of course it will!
I have a tattoo and it did stretch over time AS YOU GROW. If you don't grow, it won't stretch!! It stretches as you grow.

not unless you gained a lot of weight. i mean, by the time your 70 it's probably going to be a bit faded and not look as good as when you were 17 but that's just what old age does. if you're worried about stretching just don't get one in a fatty area of your body (butt, thighs, hips, stomach). if it does stretch or get funny looking you can always get a retouch.

Unless you get fat, no, not noticably. By 18, most of your growing is done, and what little is left will not significantly stretch your tattoo.
