Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, WORRY, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drugs,
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.

Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help you.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

Where to start?--ok, for relief of today's headache try any/all of these: squeeze the sore spot that's located in the "web" between the index finger & thumb. Pinch around in that area, you'll find a dime-size spot that's quite tender. pinch hard & hold that spot for a moment or two, now do the other hand.
Take a hot bath/shower. Try alternating very warm & cool (wet) wash cloths on your eyes, forehead & temples, and back of the neck. the alternating temps thing dialates & constricts blood vessels to get fresh, oxygenated blood flowing. Anything with caffeine might help. Try a decongestant, headaches are often caused from low grade sinus congestion.
Now for the long term headaches. Look for a cause like allergies, sinus infection, chronic tension in the neck & shoulders, maybe you need a chiropractor, or just a good massage regularly. Do you get daily exercise? Too many hours in front of a TV or computer screen? Is it ergonomic? That is, do you have to bow your head to view your monitor? (I had to put mine on a phone book) Do you sit where you have to turn your head to watch TV? (I discovered that one after I had re-arranged my furniture a few years ago) Hope this helps.

first off I would recommend you get an evaluation by a chiropractor. chiropractic medicine can often eliminate headaches after the first treatment. It depends upon what your problem is coming from. Many times its spinal misalignment.

For now place an ice pack on the back of your head, massage Vicks vapor rub into your temples. Lay in a quiet darkened room for fifteen minutes. You can repeat this process several times throughout the day and night.

I'm enclosing a link where you can find a qualified chiropractor in your area. Seriously consider an evaluation by a qualified chiropractor.

For my most experiences it seems stress can bring in on. Maybe you need some relaxation. Are you sure it is not sinus pressure? Noproxin is good for headaches.
