Age would be around 6 yrs, 8 months old.
This assumes the kitten was about 8-12
weeks old on April 1, 2001.

It really depends on how young the kitten was. When their adult teeth come it, that is a good indicator of how old the kitten is, and the vet can usually tell. Another is the weight of your kitten when you got it. If around 4 pounds, likely 12 weeks or so. Kittens are not usually weaned until 8 weeks so before then they are usually with their mother.

Sometimes when we plan a birthday for our fur friends, we can only make the best guess. I only know the birthday of my two most recent kittens.

You'll have to ask your vet or someone who works around a lot of cats and has a lot of experience. They can usually tell by the condition of its teeth and overall appearance. But it may have to be a best estimate. I had my cat from a baby to age 17 and the vet kept asking me if I was sure she wasn't older? Duh. So sometimes not even the pro's know.
