You need to replace them often enough to make sure they are good and sharp. It helps to dip them in fresh venom every few days. It would be a shame to toss the bag to a jerk, and not know untill after they catch it that the fangs are dull and the venom has gone bad. Keep em sharp, keep em poison; they'll serve you well. A little coneshell venom would be great if you can get it.

Why are you keeping them in your medicine bag? You should keep them in your back pocket, then every time you sat down, you would get the point.
