i know that many of u are complaining that illegal immigrants are not paying 4 taxes.but maybe ur not looking at the other side. everytime u pay ur taxes the goverment has to give u money back.according to how the statistics are turning out the goverment would be giving back millions and millions back to people (immigrants) who pay there taxes every year. 4 u people who say that immigrants are not willing to file the papers to do taxes, u got it all wrong. my father has been filing tax papers to pay taxes 4 the past 12 years .luckly me and my 2 brothers are citizens,so the goverment would owes us back thousands of $. if u say we filled the form wrong. then again u got it all wrong .every time that we go fll out the form we go with a certified notary.and every time the goverment makes up a crappy excuse 4 denying us the #. every time they tell us that the birth place is wrong. blah blah blah. the reason y i posted this is because i wanted an opinion.so the lines r now open.u have 3 days

In order to pay taxes, you have to have a tax identification number. In order to have a tax identification number, you have to be a legal resident of America. That's it. That's all. There is no other way to pay taxes. if you simply send money to the U.S. Treasury, they will send it back or stick it in a holding account where it will revert to the government after several years. If your father is not a legal resident, he cannot have a tax identification number (social security number). He can't file taxes even if he wanted to. No illegal can file taxes. The U.S. Treasury would have no way of assigning his tax return. He doesn't exist. If you are an American citizen and the head of a household, you must have a social security number. You must file taxes. If you don't you are in violation of the tax code and can go to prison. Better to be an illegal than to be a citizen if you want to save on taxes.

Oh, by the way, you don't automatically receive a tax refund just because you file taxes. Sometimes you have to pay more. Illegals receive money from the government because Democrats buy votes with this money. Although illegals cannot legally vote, their legal relatives and friends can. So, illegal benefits are a form of "blood money" (look it up).

On the federal level we pay out 10 billion more then we take in from illegal aliens, I refuse to call them illegal immigrants it a PC term to make people feel better about allowing illegal aliens to stay here. Immigrants follow the law, illegal aliens don’t.

So if we got rid of all the illegal aliens, despite losing millions of dollars we would save 10 billion. Now assume that there are 75 million families in the US 300 million people divided by 4 that would mean each family would get back an extra 133.33, or 33.33 dollars each. Not counting what is saved on the state level, in California it’s another 6 to 7 billion dollars.

Most illegal aliens don’t file taxes, just because your father did doesn’t mean everyone did not every citizen did. And no, you wouldn’t get the taxes paid by your father; your father would, after we deducted for all the services he and his family used.

By the way a certified notary can’t and won’t say the paper work is filled out correctly, all a notary does is say they verified that the person who signed the document is the person they say they are, and that that person signed it in their presents.

How in the world am I getting money back when I pay taxes? Are you referring to tax refunds? That is just a return of overpayment. There are different ways of doing things. Some people let taxes be withheld from their paychecks at a high rate. At the end of the year, when they file, they get a refund on what they've over paid. The government isn't giving away free money, its a return of overpayment. Others, like myself, have small amounts withheld, and I put the money I owe aside during the year so that I can collect interest on it, not the government. At the end of the year I owe them money, and I pay it in one lump sum - they don't give me any money back. Still others try to keep their with holding as close to actual taxes as possible, so that it works out pretty even at the end of the year. Its all personal preference. Bottom line, its not free money that, as you say "the government has to give u money back".

You would need to contact an attorney or the IRS if you feel that you are due a refund on what you personally have paid, but you cannot collect on your fathers' tax payments or overpayments. How is it being withheld if he is an illegal alien?

Not paying their fair share of the taxes is only one part of the issue. The citizens of the USA has the right and the obligation to set and enforce our immigration laws, for our needs and wants, not the illegals, no matter, how many, hard working or well intended they might be .

we have huge tax issues, and numerous tax issues, whether or not reforming immigration will HELP the tax problems is one thing. but reforming immigration will not SOLVE tax problems because it is not the root of the problems. guess what, more accuratly who, the root of the problems is? it aint the mexican man down the road, its the govt, but its alot easier to attack the mexican down the road than to swallow your pride and possibly kick the person YOU voted for out of office, because that would involve admitting you were wrong.....look at the whole bush thing, first a lot of people totaly supported him, now none of those people will even admit that support they once had, you would be lucky for them to admit they voted for bush. once they deport all the illegals i want to see what they do (if anything) about the tax problems in america. most likely they will point more fingers.

You don't pay as many taxes and not all immigrants pay any ...So maybe you should do some homework and find out the facts about illegal immigration and the strain it has put on America..

ok your father may be doing the "right" thing by filling out his papers, but why doesn't he apply for citizenship? and your father may be part of the good side of the illegal immigrants that actually do care, but the majority of them are just mooching off of our healthcare systems, taking advantage of out government, and even committing crimes. If someone truly wants to be part of our country they need to do it the right way, becaue i am all for immigration... just as long as it is legal.
