AGAIN! There is this guy who I think is gay, and alot of people do so too, but he holds hands with a girl that i dont know.
Im pretty positive that shes his gf, but is he using her to protect himself from people calling him gay?

Really appreceate the advice guys...some are kinda rude, but I can live with it.
Umm...when I mean people think he is gay Im talking about when he does something gay (which is about every other day) someones goes "Hey are you gay or something"
SOO that acually might be his first thought of hiding from publicity so I dont blame him.
Yes I do like him, but I need to get to know him like somone said. I am kinda shy so I cant get near people without comfort yet >.>

If a gay person uses a girl as a shield than he is not proud of who he is, and yes its possible for him to do this. Some gay people are afraid of what others have to say about their personal lives, which I feel is none of no one's business but everyone is different. If you know this guy why don't you just ask him, and better yet, why are you so curious? Do you think he's hot and want to get to know him but you don't know if he's actually gay? Either way babe, the best way to find out is to ask him and if you don't know him, get to know him.

Only if they're male. And if that's true, then the girl is probably gay too.
There's always the possibility that he's actually not gay.
Hang around them to see if they kiss. That's not something a gay guy and a girl would typically do.

In the early days of Hollywood, marriages were arranged for certain gay and lesbian stars by the film studios to protect them.
Mind you back then, it was still a criminal offense
Yes, some gay people have gone into a relationship, to protect themself from public opinion, or because they are not ready.
But you could be wrong, do you like him, is he boyfriend material in your eyes...

Yes, some guys that do not want to admit they are gay yet will use a girl (as a girlfriend) as a cover up so people won't figure it out. Or he could be bi. A guy I went to school with was, he is into everyone.

Its possible. Sometimes people go for what feels safe rather than facing the world and being themselves. Maybe he is afraid that people will reject him if he is something other than "normal". That is why its possible that he is using this girl to hide his true self..which is not very nice unless this girl is aware of the situation...
OR maybe he's just really metro..

If he gay and he don't want to let anyone know he is using her to protect himself but maybe his not gay he just acts that way. Or maybe he likes both boys and girls. But thats his thing leave him be.

Nice way to just judge someone. Maybe you're just confused. What are you judging him by?
He could be bi, and like both boys and girls and be dating her because he ACTUALLY does like her.
