Have you ever heard of a camera strap? They are used to hang your camera around your neck so you don't drop it and break it. You say you've dropped yours at least 5 times in 2 months? And now you've dropped it a 6th. time and it fell 5'? Sorry to have to say this but I do believe you've finally killed it.

Tell Pentax you've only dropped it once and maybe, just maybe they won't catch on and will cover it under warranty. If not, well you can use it as a paperweight and start shopping for the replacement. I bet you'll use the neck strap with your next one.

sorry to say but that camera is just as good as a paperweight now. if you try to charge and it stop charging after 45 minutes, it could just mean that the battery is just halfway empty by then but the camera is just dead.

Sorry, that camera has a very big problem... Heck, how did you manage to drop it so often?!

Your dad won't kill you. At most, he'll ground you for a year, but don't worry - dads aren't that bad. ;)
