would it help your skin if you put lotion on before applying sunscreen or would it make it worse? (as in protecting your skin)

Get a 2-in-1 product, like sunscreen with aloe vera or moisturizing ingredients. That way you don't have to worry about the effect lotion will have on protecting you from the sun.

It would not make your skin worse but maybe just a little oily from both the lotion and the sunscreen. Lotion itself doesn't protect from the sun so if that's what you're asking, then just go with the sunscreen. Try to find a sunscreen that is hypoallergenic, so it doesn't clog your pores. Although sunscreen protects you from the sun, it doesn't protect you from the wind, so maybe it would be beneficial to find something that protects you from getting windburn also! I hope this was helpful!

Adding another product will dilute the effect of the sunscreen.
Buy the face wash, toner, sunscreen and moisturizer for YOUR SKIN type, and use them [ sunscreen in AM, moisturize in PM ].
