Ok, so a friend of mine got asked by a fat girl who is very not good looking. She called him and he somehow said yes. Now he doesn't want to go with her in the first place. What can I do to help?

You should stay out of it.

Your friend should go out and dance - and be glad she had the nerve to call. It is just a dance - not like they are getting married. He could get to know the other girl and she could be a nice girl under all that weight.

Another thing - when you go out with an average girl and treat her nice.... Other chicks are gonna like you even more because the fat girl will tell her skinny friends how nice you were.

I cannot figure out who is more shallow and immature, you or your "friend."

He has said yes to the young lady, if he is not man enough to turn down her invitation at the time she asked, he had better be man enough to go to the dance, have a good time and skip the comments about her being fat.

I suppose he thinks that he is Mr. so wonderful and great, not.

If he is judging people by their looks, he is asking for a sad and lonely life.

He needs to grow up, and you need to realize that you should stay out of his business. You should take care of yourself and let your friend learn from this experience.

Shame on both of you for looking down on this young lady.

You can't do anything to help....or at least you shouldn't. He's about to be dancing with the fat girl, and why not? No one forced him to agree to going with her, and he's just going to dance with her, not sleep with her so he'll be fine. It's a good lesson for him for the future, and he may even have a good time.

Tell him he said yes so he is going, and to have a good time, and what ever he does make sure the girl doesn't find out he tried to get out of it.

Tell him to go with her.
If he goes back on it, she's going to be very upset.
Maybe this girl has a great personality and he'll, maybe not like her, but get to know her.
You have to think about the other person in the situation.
He coule have said no, but he said yes so it was his choice, not yours.

HE NEEDS TO GO TO THAT DANCE AND ACT AS IF HE'S HAVING THE TIME OF HIS LIFE!!!! Everyone of us has been crushed by someone and made to feel insignificant and unattractive. This girl has enough odds against her without your friend crushing and embarrassing her at something so important to her. She had enough courage to call and ask him, he needs to be man enough to follow through. YOU NEED TO ENCOURAGE HIM TO DO THE RIGHT THING.

He can man-up and live up to his commitment. Looks aren't everything. Then he can think twice before he says yes again. And you really shouldn't be involved. This was his decision and he can make his own choices.

You are not going to have fun, so you should let her know you didn't mean to say yes, and apologize to her.

Who knows, when you tell her this you might find out more about her and actually change your mind :)

You could ask someone out, and all go together. It won't be that bad, because the girls usually all huddle together chatting, so you won't be spending the whole evening with them anyway.
