no it is not strange for a four year old to know the body parts!!!!
my little girl now the her body parts and her dads body parts by the age three and by four she would talk about them!!!!
I use to take baths with my little girl until she was about three years old when I thought she was old enough to have a bath with out someone right there to keep an eye on her!!!

Nothing wrong with bathing your kids. At 5 I think it's starting to get iffy - I would think he would be asking about body parts by that time. I guess I wouldn't really know yet, being that my son is only 1. I stopped bathing with him at 9 months, though because he rediscovered mommy's nipples - ouch!

I think at age 3 or so, a parent should stop bathing with their child. Of course you explain body parts and the differences but, that child also needs to know that their privates are private.

It's normal. A lot of parents take baths with their young children. If he was a lot older, it would be weird. But they get you all wet by splashing when you bathe them, anyway, so why not just get in with them. Plus you are there to be sure they are safe from drowning. Young kids can drown in a very small amount of water.

I don't understand why you care. And I don't understand why you think he shouldn't know the names of body parts. It's a body not a sexual thing in this case. I taught my sons all the proper names of the male and female body. I don't want them to go to the doctors or something and say "My pee-pee hurts" or whatever. It's ignorance not to teach your children these things.

Since he is a boy, it is a little strange. She should practice letting him taking a bath by himself. So that you will not start an argument, dont keep bringin it up but, voice your opinion and a different way she should take his bath.

Personally I wouldn't do it with my son when he reaches that age. Instead he could with his Dad. I remember when I was a little girl I showered with my Mom a lot but not my Dad or my older brother. This was when I was 3 or 4 I'd say. So in my opinion yes it's a tad werid.

This is not weird...at least, not to me. Many parents bathe with their children. Now, I think there should be a certain age as to when she shouldn't bathe with her child, but I think it is normal. I mean seriously, not like he isn't going to see something now that he won't see again many years from now.

I've known what boys' parts were since I was 4.
Since he's so young I guess it would be okay.
It would be better if the dad bathed with him, though, since they're both boys.
