I'm wondering when a guy wears a condom, does that condom protect him from making a baby as well for the diseases? Or is it only for diseases? I need to know.
Thanks for your answers, I appreciate it.

I'm 14, but I'm not asking cause I want to have sex. No, the reason is because I missed the Sex- Education class I had last year.

Sorry, I don't think this is solely men's stuff - it takes two to tango.

The condom is basically a barrier method of birth control. Assuming it is properly used and does not break in use, it should protect both parties against fluid transmission. This prevents semen from fertilising the egg.

While it may protect against fluid based diseases, a large range of sexually transmitted diseases rely on skin-to-skin contact.

When it is said to have protected sex it is because the man should wear a condom. It protects against pregancy and STD's, that can be transmitted between the two parties. It is not perfect and there has been many cases that the condom has not be put on correctly or it was damages and or it leaked. Then pregancy and STD's can occur. With the right precautions it should be ok. Having sex befoe you are ready is not a good idea. If you are still in school and you don't want to get pregnant then the best and only sure way is to refrain from actual intercourse. STD's can occur from must touching if the hands or body is not clean.

Condoms not only prevent unwanted pregnancies, but can also protect the user from a range of sexually transmitted diseases, providing they don't slip off or tear during intercourse. Always buy good quality condoms that have not exceeded their expiration date.

Please read the info on this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Condom. Condoms are not 100% effective for preventing pregnancy. And they are also not 100% effective for preventing STD's. They just lower your risk. I don't know how old you are, but if you are thinking about having sex and don't know the answers to these (any many other) questions, I advise you to wait until you know much more about the subject.

Don't worry about that just get good grades in school and make your own future better. You have plenty of time to worry about the other stuff in life. Your too young to worry about sex. Go to school, get good grades and talk to your parents instead of asking questions on this site.

A condom blocks any skin to skin contact between the penis and vagina, and it blocks sperm from entering the vagina.
