There is a much older man at work (me 27 him 45) who is leaving soon as he is a locum. Anyway, he knows I like him and he still kept talking to me after he found out. Asked me out for a leaving beer but with everyone else going too!! Great!! Anyway, if I bump into him outside work we chat loads but in the staff room just a quick hello from him, I ask him how are things going and he rushes an answer and then practically runs away from me! I'm a really friendly, chatty person so I'm always like "hiya" when I see him, sometimes I get this back but then the next time he'll be like "hi" in a "I don't want to talk to you" sort of voice! Confusing, just keeps blowing hot and cold with me! Does he like me or not??!

Jude guess the only way you are going to find out for certain is go and ask him rather then a bunch of strangers who don't know either of you. He may like you as a person but think that there is too big an age difference for a relationship. Or he may like you and not want to embarrass himself in front of his co-workers by acting like a teenager around a younger good looking peer.

Maybe he simply enjoys flirting with you, but is wary because of the age difference. He probably doesn't want to seem like a creepy older man. OR you are coming onto strong?
