after their court date will they be able to talk to people under 18 again?

it wasnt i sex thing with a minor it was selling pot to minor...and he got arrested and bailed out and has a court date next month, and i want to know if i can talk to him again or not

It would either a Federal law or a State Law. Police cant make laws,only enforce them.
I think i know what you are asking but i would need details.

It depends upon what the judge rules at that court date. The court may place them on probation, and the terms of that probation may continue the restriction.

My concern would be why they were told by police to not talk to anyone under 18. Why were they arrested? Are they engaged in some sort of inappropriate relationship with a minor?

Your question is too vague to answer. Sounds like a sex case with a minor. If so, probably not.
