Semiotics – the study of signs and symbols as elements of communication. The signifier, or the object/image, leads to the signified, which is the associated meaning.
For this project, consider how you gather your source materials, whether they are actively sought out, deliberately chosen, found, or happen by chance. You may use ANY material (within reason), incorporation of other artistic mediums, documentation of an action, use of participants, etc. The process may also be a springboard for the imagery that you gather.
