Explain to your parents that you are nervous when they come. Keep telling them that you love them, and this causes you to want to do really well to please them, and ask them to come ten minutes into the game?

If you feel uncomfortable when your parents are around. Talk to them about it. Who knows that might the best way for you to relax.

There's this really great calming technique that I've learned in the past few years. Take a slow deep breath on a count of 1 - 8, and release it on 9 - 11. That should get you started on deep breathing. The best part is, when you're doing this, you won't even think about your parents being there, or the tension you're experience, cause your mind is like somewhere else all together.

Give it a shot. Worked for me. =)

Just think of anxiety as being a good thing, how it is making your sense sharper and your movements quicker. Try to imagine playing the game in your mind and making the moves and plays that will help you to win. Make yourself successful in these mental movies. Even if you make a mistake, see yourself coming back with even a more phenomenal play that just makes the crowd jump up and roar! Its one of the most momentous moments of your life! Can you feel it! Can you see it! The ball is coming and you know it is headed for your - your at the net - you jump - your arm is raised - the ball hits your hand - you slam it down with a crushing sound and almost immediately it flattens against the floor and bounces away - the buzzer sounds - your team catches you in the air and raises you in salute with tears of joy!

sit down for a couple of minutes before each game, and before your parents come in, and take a deep breath, and think of something funny, or humerous that happneded through your day, Now smile , now then think of your best friend or your boyfriend, the one you truly love, now then think about you laughing outload when no one knows what your laughing about, and think about your boyfriend or parents catching you and your best friend, laughing, They would think your retarded, lol, Now after reading this, message are you nervous??? of caourse not, Darling, Now think about this message before the game? Good luck, and jiggle your way out of being nervous and uptight, Laugh for God sake Laugh

Just stay came and cool.. yeah their watching to see how you play but if you play bad, hey it's ok, they're your parents and they love you no matter what.. their on your side you know. otherwise they'd be in the bleachers with the opponents jersey.. heh, just imagine that they're not there, it's your average practice day..except its a big practice day and you need to play real good..lol i like to play calm music in my head..well i really remember it from calm songs and before/after and in the breaks i put on my iPod..and i'm all calm and ready to go when i preform! :) gl
