I started working about a month ago at this place and my boss, on my first paycheck, cheated me a couple hours, but he said i wasnt clocking in correctly, and i didnt have proof that i was. So this time around i saved all my clocking in papers and kept them, next thing you know, my paycheck shows up and its a good 50 dollars short. I made copies of the clock in papers i have and im going to go in there and show him... is this a good idea. Im in highschool and hes done this to my other friends (he cheated one over 100dollars)... so i quit and todays my last day. Do you think he will give me my money if i have just the copies? i am NOT going to give him the originals because if i dont get money then my parents said we are turning him in.

As others posted report him to your State Department of Labor Wage & Hour Division. They will get your money as long as you have proof (which you obviously do) and will conduct an investigation to see how many others he has done this too.

TURN HIM IN to the Labor Board and then take him to small claims court! Keep the originals, make copies of them and submit them as proof.

Go to your state labor board .
It is illegal for him to falsify work documents .

They should handle collecting from him ,
And then they will have it on record about his actions .
It will make it easier to collect for others he cheats too .

Good Luck !
