For those who say its risky waiting that long... how can you force yourself to believe something? its not that easy to just all of a sudden believe something

try this: believe Allah is god.

you cant do it can you. belief is not something you choose to do, and i dont understand why anyone would think this?

Although the story of the criminal on the cross demonstrates that last-minute conversions are possible, the Bible warns us to repent now, without waiting another moment. John the Baptist warned, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 3:2). Jesus had the identical message concerning the need for immediate repentance, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17).

The Bible warns us concerning the brevity of the human lifespan. “You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away” (James 4:14). We are not instructed to consider converting someday, but to believe today! “Today if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts” (Hebrews 3:7-8, 14; 4:7). None of us knows how much time we have left in this life or what the circumstances of our death will be. We may die in a sudden, unexpected manner that will preclude a deathbed conversion. The only reasonable option is to repent and believe in Jesus Christ today.

Many people die without having the experience of an extended amount of time on a death bed. Many people die instantly and unexpectedly, with no opportunity to trust in Christ. 2 Corinthians 6:2 declares, "In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you. I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation."

God has the right to dispense grace to those whom He wishes and it is not for us to complain. We say that we should rejoice in the grace that we have been given, focusing on our sins, not the grace extended to others and their sins.

God can and will do as He pleases. He will not look to our council for the accuracy of the scales of righteousness. He alone deals out ultimate retributions and He alone deals out grace.

No one can know for sure what God will decide. But as a Christian (and in my case, a Catholic), I have to believe that God knows my intentions, and if it was your intent during that one day to live the rest of your life for Him, then that would be enough. Second, only God can perform miracles, and if He chose to show Himself to you, then it isn't for nothing. The Divine Mercy of Jesus is infinite, and, while I'm sure God would appreciate all 70 years being for Him, He wants to shower us in His Love and Mercy, not just for today on Earth, but for all eternity in Heaven. And maybe that would be the reason Jesus would reveal Himself to you, so that on your last day, you would believe and be offered a seat in Heaven.

Say that you were a Christian all your life, and lived as you pleased, then died. Would God hold that against a Christian any more than someone else?

"You have been saved by grace, through faith; it is not of yourselves."

Live your life as you see fit. God will not hold that against you. The fact remains that faith in Christ is the only way to God. He is the Creator and makes the rules. You are the creation. Who has more power to make the rules by which to know God. He has made it so there is no proof in the material realm that he exists except what he has created.

What gets a person into heaven is accepting the price that Christ paid on the cross. No man can earn heaven. That's why all of us need to accept Christ. It doesn't matter when you do it. Whether you do it at age 7 or age 70, you will be saved. We are all sinners and nobody goes to heaven by quitting their sin. Of course, it's natural for a person to strive to please God when he realizes the price that Christ paid for his Salvation.

The thief on the cross next to Jesus just said remember me on his last day and Jesus responded that he would be with Him in paradise. So yes, one day is enough. But since we don't know when the last day is nor should we believe there will be a miracle it is a dangerous thing to wait.

thats not our choice. I know a great book for you that will change your life and very well answer your question. Its called "A Life God Rewards For Teens". Its by Bruce Wilkinson with David Kopp. It will help you understand life more and you will be hooked to it. I was for sure. It says that if you live for God, you do everyday. Ok. Here is what some scriptures say. When we die, we have judgement. Thats when God judges us depending on what we did to represent him here on Earth. Depending on what you did, will determine your reward. His rewards are amazing. So, what you do today will effect you rewards in Heaven. Try reading this book. You can find them at your locla book store, or Christian book store. He also has many other books. You need to try them out. They are amazing

Look at the thief on the cross. He was saved in the process of dieing. So yes it would get you into Heaven. However waiting until then is a risky proposition.

Yes, but you must pay for your sin on the past. If you don't have a chance to repay, then your ticket to heaven will delay and put in a places called pre-heaven prison and serve your sentences their. Just like in society, you put in jail for certain period of time before let free. Common sense.

Example the guy next to Jesus on the Cross.

We have to understand the forgiveness part is important. We forgive all that has wronged us then God will forgive us.
