I am a Christian. No man made denominations for me. I am a member of the body of Christ which includes all who believe in and serve Him. I got revelation knowledge of the Deity of Jesus some 36 years ago. I believe the way that I do because of faith mostly but I have seen many manifestations of His power over sinful ways, sickness and disease, deliverance from powerful addictions both physical and mental. Once you experience the Truth of His resurrection power you cannot deny Him.

I swear I just answered a question like this a couple of days ago. I know I'm new here, but does this come up that often?
Okay. Same answer, since you're a different questioner.
I'm okay with Jesus. Other than that, I have no "denomination". My personal beliefs outgrew the box they came in a long time ago.

I met Jesus Christ about 35 years ago when He delivered me out of a lifestyle of drugs, booze, cigs, etc.
I grew up in a home in which we were taught that Jesus was a liar, possibly a lunatic, at best a deceiver, and above all, dead.
When I was at an all-time low, and somebody asked if he could pray for me, I figured why not? Praying to a dead man won't make any difference, anyway.
But he prayed, and God heard. The Lord gave me a revelation who Jesus Christ was/is. After the initial shock, I finally said "uh - oh - uh - Ok." The moment I said "Ok", the Lord began to start cleaning me up, delivering from both the desire as well as the affects of the drugs.
I felt clean, I actually FELT forgiveness flowing through me, and above all else, I felt the power of God's Love by His Holy Spirit.
I've never been the same.
It's amazing, but once you actually meet Someone, you can no longer deny His existence.
My family attends an Assembly of God church, where we worship God with other believers, study God's Word, and support missionaries who travel the world sharing this same good news to others.

I used to say I was pentacostal. But there are so many kinds of pentacostal churches today, that I dont like to say it anymore . As in within most church denominations, this is so. There is really only one true church, Gods church and its us, that will love God and obey Him. I go to a church now called nondenominational, becuse they dont like labels either, but they believe as I do, the basic pentacostal religion. Which believes in all of the Bible and knows we must obey God, as He said, IF YOU LOVE ME< OBEY ME.
I have been pentacostal for many years, and I can honestly say I could only grasp the full truths of the Bible once I came to the understanding of what the pentacostals preach. As, it fits all the things I read in the Bible and it all clicks.
BUt fact is, its not about denomination or title. ITs only about knowing what the Bible says, understanding it and applying it to your life and obeying God as well as loving HIm.
Its all in His word.
Great question/

Self-explanatory Avatar. Chief Fundie. Thick skulled. Possibly concrete. Homeschooling father of teenagers. If God gets me thru that, Yahoo is a cakewalk. Atheists fear my shadow, as it is the two edged sword I swing.
In His Service,
John the Baptist
PS atheists don't like to be excluded--it reminds them of not being picked for softball. They get mad. Kinda fun.

Hellenic Polytheist -- I've been actively practicing for about 4 years, before that I was in an emotionally abusive relationship where I was not ALLOWED to "hint" that I was "pagan" even though I was NOT interested in being Christian due to the Gods' call to me. I would say though that I would have been active in my religion for 20 years by now if it wasn't for that relationship.
Even my Christian mother does not object to my religion. She has more problems with my abuser.....

I'm a Christian. I don't belong to a denomination. I live in a foreign country and don't go to church because of the language barrier. If I were in America I would probably join the Seventh Day Adventists.
