If no, then what is the point

If yes then what is to stop someone sinning again and the whole thing starting over again.

The point is - do we have freewill now and if not why not? Forget about Satan God and fairy tales. What holds us back from doing what we want here and now and what can we do about it? Our conditioning holds us back, our greed, our addiction, our hatred and our ignorance holds us back. It is possible to overcome these limitations as a human being. Once you're in heaven you've missed out on a golden opportunity!

Until we can break down our greed etc we will always be slaves - even when we go to heaven.

Indeed. Some New Age Teachings that humans are the only ones capable of doing wrong, is just as simple-minded as thinking humans are the only Intelligent Life. There are countless Lifeforms in Creation. And Free Will exists on many dimensional levels. Except the Highest. Where negativitiy simply cannot exist. Not only are there Higher Beings that still seek control over others. But there are types of spirit Life that lack a conscience like we have. And can do things to hurt us, which technically is evil.

IF you are there then why would you want to do something other than God's will. If you are in heaven then God has given you the best present ever and are happy ... I think it would be inconceivable to want to throw that away. I guess it might be an option to sin, exit heaven and go to hell but Jesus paid for the sins, God has forgiven us and taken away our sins and the love that will be there is so much that doing anything to disappoint him would be unthinkable.

If you think about it being happy, loved and comfortable and a street cleaner in heaven would be better than an tortured, unhappy and unloved king in hell!

Paul taught there are three levels of glory in heaven. If you cannot achieve the highest, you may of your own free will chose another.

Ye are not able to abide the presence of God now, neither the ministering of angels; wherefore, continue in patience until ye are perfected. Let not your minds turn back; and when ye are worthy, in mine own due time, ye shall see and know that which was conferred upon you by the hands of my servant

This question is getting old. Why not ask something original next time? ;-)

Presumably all of creation will be older and wiser next time, as we will have had plenty of opportunities to see that sin simply doesn't "work"; it only produces misery in the long run (look at world history).

And presumably there will not be any temptation in Heaven, since God will no longer have a need to test his creation to show us whether we are really loyal or not; the loyal ones will be the only ones there.

That's an interesting deep question.
Where God is, no sin can exist and we will go to God. This is contrary to God creating a domain for us (earth) which Satan ruled from the time of Adam until Jesus stomped him into the ground.
One verse states "He charges his angels with error" but it doesn't mention sin.

I do think we'll have free will but somehow the appitude for sin won't be there. I don't know if your question can be answered absolutely.

I suppose if we get to Heaven we will be so happy and joyous we would never consider doing anything sinful again so it wouldn't matter if we had free will or not.

When we get our new bodies when Jesus comes back we won't have the sinful nature so that means we won't sin by accident. When Adam ate the apple he obtained the sinful nature. Thats why people now and then sin so easy.

The only things that will be blocked from your mind will be evil thoughts that lead to evil deeds. As it is written the elements(evil thoughts) will be melted away. It is also written that God is a consuming (cleansing ) fire. You must also realize that satan the big tempter / accuser will no longer be in existence.
