Actually, yes everyone should walk at a minimum 30 minutes a day. Research has shown that raising your heart rate for at least 30 minutes a day with exercise is beneficial. Walking is one of the best forms of exercise there is.

It depends how u walk.
If u walk in such a way it leading to rapid breathing which in turn will make ur abs to move rapidly front and back and u reduce in shape..
It may suit u. but many people doent loose wait rapidly by walking alone.
It also depends on the type of body, their food etc.
You said u practised arts which is also one of the reason whyy you loose wait easily thru walking.
The old things that u done help u in future. If u dont beleive in it ask ur doctor.

You're so right on a couple things.
Walking or swimming are the best exercise.
There are NO diet pills that work.
However, to lose weight , it's all about exercise (the walking) AND consuming less calories. I'm talking about overweight people who want to lose 20+ pounds.
Keep on walking!! It's great for constipation too. (Just thought I'd throw that in there!)

I walk every day to remain mobile and keep my cirulation healthy. Now at 550 plus pounds and growing, I don't do it to lose weight. Neither does my 350 pound wife. We walk because we enjoy it, although we do waddle more slowly than many others.

Maybe they are happy without doing that. If they are satisfied with their life or don't have the energy or joint-pain-freedom or enthusiasm for that activity, it is their life. They don't need any one telling them how to live it.

I agree you just have to stay active, and avoid car travel when necessary. We have legs so why not use them? and those people that are so obese that they use hoover mobile karts, they should at least attempt to walk

And of course, you aren't in your 60s, afflicted with arthritis and degenerative joint disease and fallen arches. Whatever makes you think one prescription fits all situations?
