If so, where can I find more prayerful information about this? And does this practice, conducted properly, mortify the flesh?

I assume you mean meditation not medication.

Your question seems to state that prayer and/or meditation are something separated from your spiritual life; when in fact they are an integrated part of your spiritual life.

The phrase "mortify the flesh" means to limit and is used in Romans 8:13 (context Romans 7:14-8:17), but the answer to your question is Romans 7:24-25.

The letter that Paul writes to the Romans contains lots of information and is meant to be read in its entirety. There really aren’t any chapters or verses, just a letter in talking about what Paul has been teaching before being imprisoned. Romans 7:14-8:17 represent our sinful nature and the spirit of God that overcomes it. We belong to Christ and are led by the Spirit of God. For all that are led by the spirit of God are children of God. (The following verse Romans 8:14).

Answer: It is the spirit of God, Christ in you.

mortifying the flesh? has nothing to do with just "prayer and meds" the putting to death of the flesh is a spiritual happening that not too many understand as to " what flesh is intended to die" thus, creating many mis-beliefs and therefore"other doctrines" contrairy to true teaching (apostolic)...lol..bye Pauline epistles, my sorce....

I find the medication to be the most helpful.

Not really. I get a bad case of munchies after I've been medicated.
